But you need a) a lot of time or b) some money.
Cool setup, nice mechanics, story is not important.
Fights are fun. Upgrading + tweaking your weapons an Tenno is fun.

But now I think its become a money-making grind-fest.

DE constantly nerfs weapons to get you to switch to others, they force you, so you start spending money again. Its called milking the machinery. Its not balancing

Larian just went out and bought the name "Baldurs Gate" and then proceeded to make an DOS 2.5
Nothing is really new, its just an graphically updated DOS 2.0 with an new DLC and a bit of different story.
There are still those boring artificial encounters left and right you have already done in 1000 other RPGs. Save this one, rescue that one, help this one, kill that one, and so on and so on. And then there is the straight forward plot-line you follow around on the map.
What you did in DOS 1.0 and continued to do in DOS 2.0 you will have to do the same boring way in BG3.
As a DOS fan I am disappointed because its just more of the same with just more boring hardcore restricting game design and more frontal RNG *♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥*.
And as a BG fan I am disappointed that this is just a DOS 2.5 in disguise and not really a BG game whatsoever.

Like in the movie industry, the 3rd part of a movie is most often always the worst. This game has no soul and you can clearly see Larian is way over his head with that project. Over an year in Early Access and we all know from DOS 1 and 2 that their Act 1 is their only strength. The rest always disappoints.
And so far Act 1 is a big mess. They have no idea what they actually want anymore.

Star Trek Universum.
Coole Schiffsschlachten
Coole Planet-Missionen
Picard, Kirk, Chekov usv.
Coole Schiffe
Allles was ein Star Trek Herz höher schlagen lässt.

Nun das Negative:
Schwierigkeitsgrad in diesem Spiel ist unbalanced für die meisten neuen chars.
Für Pros is es ein Kinderspiel und für manch neue kann es die Hölle sein.
STO erklärt dir die unwichtigen controls aber sonst rein garnichts, die Tutorials sind ein witz.
Am Ende muss man sich alles in Stundenlangen tutorials auf youtube, in Foren oder durch andere Spieler holen.
Und ja das Game ist komplex.
Wichtig: Es is P2W
Gewisse Schiffe die mit gegen echt-Geld zu kaufen sind bringen Vorteile die sonst kein anderes Schiff hat.
Die Summe machts aus. Ein einziges solches Schiff bringt noch nichts. Aber wer ein ultimatives DPS Monster erschaffen möchte kann um die 500$ loswerden und eines dann kreieren.
Oder halt für 5 Jahre grinden.

Imagine being a rather mediocre but good MMO for over 10 years and then.....
one of a sudden....... you are one of the best Story-driven MMO in the galaxy.

Actually it was always a very good story driven MMO.
Just today the content is huge and it will take you weeks to play through everything with just one class.
But then you have 7 more classes and 15 subclasses you can play.
The ultimate goal in SWTOR is to win the fashion-game though. There is no debate about that.
TL;DR: It is fun, the endgame is as always cosmetics and skins.
