Early Access Review
Easiest way to describe it is: Faster paced Valheim with some QoL features.
Have about 40 hours put into it, worth every penny.

As close to 2D Bloodborne as we'll ever get.
A solid metroidvania/souls-like with lot's of exploration and great visuals/audio.
Would love a New Game+ mode to add some replayability. Maybe a boss rush mode.
Took about 16 hours for me to 100% it going in blind.

I really enjoyed this game. If you like Dead Space and want a more difficult and melee focused game, then this is for you!
The audio and visuals of this game is nothing short of amazing.

Just can't bring myself to complete the game.

Movement:
Movement is sooo janky, you can't walk normally, just run, crouch or sprint. While "normal" running there is a delay before you can strafe, which makes it freaking impossible to navigate indoors in a smooth manner. Feels like you're playing with "tank controls" but in a first person view. Trying to make your way on a narrow beam or roof part, well it's a mess.

You will most certainly get stuck in a room/enviroment without any way out. If you're lucky you can suicide and hopefully get to a checkpoint that is safe. If you're not so lucky you'll have to start a new save.

They give you a hang glider which controls awkwardly and if you touch the ground with it it's a 50% chance to instakill you even if you have stamina left and aren't plummeting to the ground.

Combat:
The combat is mind-numbingly boring. If it's against zombies you just left click and walk backwards, because as soon you get close to them they instantly grapple you. I don't know how to explain it but it just feels so awkward comparing to DL1.
If it's against humans then you just trade blows. You hit them once, then you block their counter attack, then you attack again and repeat.

Inventory/Crafting/UX:
Trying to navigate your inventory can be a pain, you can scroll down and up the list of gear, but it scrolls all the way down or all the way up, so if you want to check everything in between, then you have to drag the tiny bar on the right side instead.

You have four quickslots for throwables, such as decoy items or bombs. Items you craft don't automatically equip in these, but the ones you pick up from the ground does. So if you don't actively swap these constantly then you will allways use the ones you pick up. This isn't a big deal really, but it's kinda anoyting to allways have low level throwables equipped.
This is the same with lockpicks, you can upgrade them so you can "auto-pick" a lock if your lockpick is high enough level. But since you get these as loot, it choose your lowest first. The game doesn't recognise that you have good lockpicks, so you have to use the bad ones and break them on purpose to get to your good picks.
All the above also applies to healing/buff items.

If you alt-tab out of the game it will lock to 60 fps, so you'll have to go into setting and reset your video settings after every time you alt-tab. Seen some fixes for this, though this isn't something that you should have to do.

These are just some of the problems i have with this game, but it's more than enough for me to not recommend it.
Some of these are to me in pretty obvious need of fixing, but instead they give you events that gives you a little bit more crafting materials and whatnot.

Buy Dying Light 1 instead, it is a far supperior title.

It's CSGO, but less!
Removed workshop content
Made it allmost impossible to play custom games with your friends
Made it way harder to connect to dedicated public servers
Somehow the anti-cheat is even worse

They saw how much ♥♥♥♥ Blizzard got when they removed OW1 to launch a broken OW2 and thought "Oooh, seems like a great idéa!".

75 hours in and still finding new weapons, trinkets and items.
Amazing replay-value.
4 Different characters at start, 2 to unlock.

With the randomized map layout, secret rooms, large amount of npcs and varying bosses/enemies, no playthrough feels the same!

10/10, will keep on playing!
