Where do I begin. Okay let’s start with the game itself.
The game is probably one of the best shooters I’ve played. While the Champions ruins the balance in certain aspects. The base game is still the same. Pure Skill Based Shooter action. And as of writing this review. CLASSIC MODE is currently in PTS so if you don’t like the Champions aspect of it, YOU DO have an option. That and Unholy Trinity.
Let’s now go to playability. If you’re going to this as F2P, try out the free rotations and see if the game tickles your fancy. If you do think this game is right for you. DO YOURSELF A FAVOR. Just straight up buy all the champions. It’s only 20 dollars while every Champions is 5 each and 20 dollars worth of platinum would get you 4 Champions. So just get the bundle and save yourself the endless grinding so you can focus on using shards as progression for the character you like. There’s also skins in the game you can get through loot boxes but if you have a gambling problem or something, you can always straight up buy the cosmetic you want. Albeit, at a pretty hefty price of 15 dollars (Or 10.50 of its on sale)

Technical standpoint
It’s a nice looking game. But you know what isn’t nice. THE STUPID ♥♥♥ RANDOM HITCHING IN THIS GAME, THIS ISNT A ME PROBLEM EITHER BECAUSE LOADS OF OTHER PEOPLE ARE EXPERIENCING IT TOO. 4 years in early access and this still isn’t fixed. This is the only game that stutters at least 2 every day for me and I still decide to play it because I really do love this game a lot.
A Note for New Players
You will die ALOT. If your aim isn’t decent, you’ll have a rough time. But that’s not to say you shouldn’t keep going. Trust me this game puts your aim to the test, if you’re one of those people who want to get better aim but don’t want to use Aim Trainers. This is your next bet, Tracking, Flicking, Projectile, you name it, all can be practiced in this game. If you want to improve in this game, I recommend doing a warm up on something like aim booster for 5 or 10 minutes before playing everyday and you’ll see improvements little by little. More development- Monthly updates isn’t going to keep it alive
More dedication- I get that Doom is your current cashcow right now but Quake is a series that needs to come back as well, the shooter genre has been dumbed down to an oblivion and needs a savior.
FIX THE PERFORMANCE ISSUES
More advertising for this game- seriously, putting an ad or two on YouTube goes a long way helping the game grow than it does hurting it.

TLDR; Fix Performance issues, Stick to the game for a bit if you seem like you suck, Buy the Champions instead of grinding, Good game but really needs work to get out of early access
