Green Light Or Red Flag!?
https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2523875718

Here's The Thing:
Earth as you knew it is now uninhabitable, people are in need of a pick-me-up. Virtual drugs are the new IT product but the black-market kinds provide the best kick! You are a junkie in need of a fix and you'll do whatever it takes to feel good~

[+] PROS;

:) This may be way too early to conclude but the two characters that you’re introduced to both make great first impressions and are almost polar opposites. NORA is supportive, looks out for you and generally acts like your conscience. The Capetian is sarcastic, blunt and is real shady but has a sexy French accent, so it’s all good. I can’t say the same for the other NPCs though…

And the plot thus far is something new, a breath of *fresh air* even~ Though I predict a trend is coming because the cyberpunk genre is very hot this summer!! Anyway, it walks a fine line of pro-drugs but then condemns them as well, so the debate is off to a nice start. Hope to see more of it~

:) The visuals are equal parts Minecraft and LEGO, with a little bit of cel-shading too. I can’t be entirely sure since graphics aren’t my expertise but what I can state with conviction and palpitations is the place looks unreal! Giving off a strong neon and futuristic presentation, but also experiments with nature as well!!

As a square with no previous dabbling with drugs- unless you count What Happened, it’s a mash of emotions. One moment you’re all sober and in touch with reality, the next you’re whisked away to an eerie and hollow stretch of gloom. Then before you know, you’re high and wanna dance~

:) What’s the best mood and music for a drug-fueled rave, according to movies that is; DUB-STEP!!! You can tell the devs love Daft Punk (there’s even a small cameo) and frankly so do I. Will eat that shi* up!! You’ll be pleased to know it has its more relaxed moments, so can’t go wrong with this soundtrack… if anything I want more!

NORA & Capetian are fully voiced, and aren’t amateurs! The former’s artificially and occasionally sweet tone is pleasing to hear. The latter’s telling you like it is, almost Claptrap-sounding and belittling bark is actually worth it. Did I mention he has a French accent yet!? NPCs have that disconnect to their voice by just being high pitched nothing, not even words… I don’t think.

:) What does the gameplay entail then? I’ve been droning on and on forever now!! Well, it’s a lot of things to process. For starters, there’s the walking simulator beginning, then the semi-stealth and fulfilling objectives. Lo and behold, there are quests for you to play fetch and earn tokens, currency… WHATEVER! Yes please just give it to me!!! What's dope is also how certain side-jobs involve you feeding the habits of those around you too, be it a little bottle of downer, a happy ending... twinsies!!

Don’t worry, I’m fine and not on the verge of relapse... AT ALL!! Anyway, the branching dialogue system is fun and depending on how you respond- your lady friend will sulk, the Frenchie will approve and the NPCs will be rude. Besides you earn achievements (34 possible ones) as well for exhibiting druggie dodgy or model citizen behavior. For a totally complimentary game, it carries about 1-2 hours playtime. Almost seems too good to be true, but remember the first one’s always free ;)

[-] CONS;
:( The start was very average being a pure walking simulator. And you’re left to either explore a huge map, with not much really and collect idols that serve no purpose- of course it’s optional. Mostly for the game to flex its achievements.

Also, I get that it’s supposed to be a tour or vacation of sorts, but it wasn’t very relaxing either. However, if you do manage to hold it in and together, it quickly earns its keep!

:( That said, even when things do pick up- it makes the same mistake (that I hope it won’t make in the final game) of having yet ANOTHER large open field to run around.

It seems like just false advertising; the store page says open world- but it didn’t specify it’d be empty too!! Hopefully they’re just one-offs and that every trip will be different come that sweet, pleasurable RELEASE~

BUGS:
x Strange disappearing inventory when you drag an item out of the slots and off the menu.
x Dialogue/game frozen if you somehow open up your inventory during cutscenes.
x Movement inconsistency; can jump during “Wild Dose” but not when lucid.
x Terrain is hard to navigate even when jumping is made available.

NITPICKS:
~ No form of progress saving apart from reloading each of the 3 “levels”.

Last Words?
WDS’s prologue brews up a craving for a kooky dystopian world. While it certainly takes some getting used to- kicks in shortly, freeing you to see colors & feel ecstatic. DOSE the job very well~

Imma be real with you, I really liked WDS and it’s my first cyberpunk anything, if you believe that! It has two quirky, lovable characters and a world mesmerizing in its own jagged way. But above all, the plot seems like it’ll go places! This is a prologue absolutely free and that means it’s worth your free time, provided you stick to the objectives~

Well, you've definitely piqued my interest in the full game, so it's on my wishlist now! I love cyberpunk. :)

@AviaRa Ayyy, haha indeed! All to simulate the totally random and losing sense of place that drugs have or something like that.

ALSO! HAHAAH you're right~ Thanks for that, saw it before your comment : ) : D

I browsed it for a bit on Steam, and there are so many different-looking areas lol. Wonder how the next part will turn out.
(Also, your part from Nitpicks to Last Worlds is full in blue; probably a missing closing header or something :lunar2019deadpanpig: )
