For those of you who were old enough to remember its release, the original Deus Ex was (and still is) one of the greatest PC games of all time. This iteration of of the series has some pretty big shoes to fill, something it does remarkably well.
The game was ported to PC by the wonderful company Nixxes, the same people who ported Hitman: Absolution and Tomb Raider. Needless to say, the port has a very finished feel to it, and the devs threw in some extra graphical goodies exclusive to PC.
The game itself is a tactical FPS with light RPG elements. You as the player are given complete freedom to complete missions as you wish, with XP bonuses encouraging you to take the more difficult routes. The combat feels tight, and exploration really feels rewarding. The only weaknesses this game exhibits are the boss fights. They are clunky and frustrating, and the whole idea of "bosses" in this game feels a bit contrived. However, they do little to detract from the rest of the game. All in all, this is a game that truly shines.
