My Gaming Life

I've been spending a lot of time on Steam lately if you haven't noticed. I've been playing through these games I haven't touched in ages that have achievements tied to them. Achievement hunting has been pretty fun imo. You sure get a full experience of a game when you 100% it. My best example would be NieR:Automata. That game has so many endings I skipped in my initial playthrough. It seemed like I skipped an entire portion of the game. I'm glad I went back and played it again!

This review will be from the PoV of my achievement hunting experience. If you're not an achievement hunter, then take this review with a grain of salt.

TL:DR - I wouldn't recommend this game to anyone. It would have been alright if it didn't have bugged achievements. From the looks of things, the devs have moved onto YouTubers Life 2, so the chances of getting an hotfix is nil-to-none. But other than that, the game was alright. I couldn't find any guides for this game at the time so I went ahead and made one myself.

My Likes:
- After grinding out one of the careers, starting a new character and career feels like playing a different game. It kinda keeps the same concept but switches enough around so it isn't such a drag. The career specific achievements are pretty similar so it makes playing through each career a breeze.
- The grind itself isn't that bad. Gaining subscribers and money is fairly easy and are the only achievements you have to actively grind for. Thankfully, you only need to do it once and not per career path.

- The time it takes to 100% isn't that long. After getting a hang of how the game works, it only takes about 3-5 hours to blast through a career and get all the achievements in that path. It just enough time before it turns into a snooze-fest.

My Dislikes:
- This game has bugged achievements and it was extremely frustrating finding this out in the middle of playing this game. As far as I know, these problems were there since launch and after all these years they haven't been addressed.

- The seasonal events are meh. I don't like the concept of seasonal achievements. Its not that they're "hard", you only buy the seasonal items and you're done. But they have about 7 seasonal events but at least they last for a week or two before disappearing.
