Hey! You should have posted a comment on the guide page rather than here, since I do also receive notifications...

Anyway, it does work with the non-steam release, AS LONG as it's not a repack. If it contains files that have never been there (or renamed or anything), it'll be unable to connect to any server - which is a limitation on how the idTech4 handles internal files!
