Story:
This game is very different from FC and SC in terms of storytelling and progression. The story is all exposition of existing characters in the trails series. It answers a lot of questions regarding the ending of SC and where the story will go. This being the end of the "sky" arc, doesn't mean the whole story of trails is complete. This is merely a fraction of a grander story. If you loved the characters from FC and SC. You'll definitely love the story content this game has to offer. Gameplay:
Combat is still the same as FC/SC, turnbased grid strategy, whatever you want to call it. After having played both FC and SC on hard, you'll realize just how OP some of the skills are in the game, which become your bread and butter for the whole game. If you aren't particularly experienced with turn based jrpgs you should just play on normal. The game is not forgiving at times and even trash can wipe you easily. This third installment unlike the previous games, plays more like a dungeon crawler. If you've played YS:Origin, the way you progress is very similar to that.
