Hare In The Hat: The Abyss is a DLC for a puzzle game called Hare In The Hat. It has about as much of content as the original game.
If this review is too long for you, I suggest you to only read the first paragraph about the game's content and the final verdict at the end.

What is happening in the game:
You have to save the hare - again. You can so do simply by completing all the puzzles, which are set in an aquatic environment this time. If you have played the original game, this is very similar to it.

  • Puzzle Difficulty | This DLC is a bit harder than the original game, which is, in my opinion, good. If you wanted more of a challenge, this is where you can find it. Not all puzzles are of the same difficulty, though, some are quite easy and some are very hard (Hungarian rings, for example).
  • Achievements | You can get 17 new achievements, all of which are obtained by solving a certain puzzle. The system is very similar to the one of the base game, so you probably know what I'm talking about.
  • Environment | I really like how this underwater environment looks and I'm happy that the developer decided not to do a room-based level again. The puzzles are also suitable, for example an anchor, a chest, a message in a bottle and so on.
  • Pricing | For only a dollar, this DLC is certainly a good deal. It includes a lot of good content and it's definitely a fair price for both the player and the developer.

  • Hungarian Rings | I see a lot of people complaining and they're quite right: this puzzle is really very hard if you don't know how to solve it and random solving really doesn't get you anywhere. Luckily, there is a button to skip the puzzle, but I know some people don't want to use such things.
  • Mouse Click Detection | Every once in a while, I had a problem with the game not detecting my mouse clicks on the puzzle. However, it was easily solved by closing the puzzle and opening it again. The puzzle wasn't restarted anyway so it's not a big deal.

The final verdict:
In short, this DLC is very good. If you have played the original game, you should expect the very same concept, but different and slightly more difficult puzzles. Apart from one puzzle, they are all very enjoyable.
I certainly recommend this and for such a low price, you really should buy it.

With love,
