Diablo IV Vessel Of Hatred is developed by Blizzard Entertainment and released in 2024.
It is the game's first expansion, coinciding with the launch of Season 6, named "Season of Hatred Rising".

The plot follows that of Diablo IV.
Your adventurer sets out to find Neyrelle in the Nahantu region,
the sacred homeland of the Spiritborns.
But the Knights of the Cathedral of Light are hot on his trail.
The young girl is considered a heretic,
since she possesses the soul stone in which Mephisto is imprisoned.
The Prime Eviln, Lilith's father, pours out vice and hatred, corrupting flesh and souls alike.
His presence has given rise to vile creatures who spread desolation and terror in the surrounding area,
you'll have to be merciless and fight off these atrocious monstrosities on your journey to Nahantu.
It's anyone's guess whether Neyrelle will have the strength to fight the terrible evil influence that torments her...

Vessel Of Hatred unveils a new Sanctuary region: Nahantu.
This wilderness lies to the south of Kehjistan.
The climate is tropical, hot and humid.
Its jungle is lush and suffocating,
its scorching arid canyons are worthy of Death Valley,
and its swamps are gloomy, filthy and toxic like those of Hawezar,
but its verdant plains hint at a landscape once full of life.
Some areas today are so steeped in hellish corruption,
that they are plunged into indescribable darkness and decay.

Nahantu is the homeland of the Spiritborns.
This is the new class introduced in Vessel Of Hatred.
They are powerful warriors, agile and fast.
Despite their tribal and primitive appearance,
they possess a highly developed culture and philosophy.
They have immense spiritual powers and an uncommon mastery of the martial arts.
Spiritborn gameplay is as dynamic as it is brutal.
They deliver melee attacks with powerful two-handed weapons,
as well as magical elemental attacks, invoking the spirits of powerful animal deities.
Speaking of animals, the Spiritborns use felines as mounts to cross Nahantu.

This brings me to the new creatures roaming the lands of Nahantu.
In addition to monsters straight out of the Underworld, such as Dregs, Lacunis, Hollows and even Zombies,
you'll have to contend with zealous, corrupt and intrepid Knights of the Cathedral of Light,
mutant animals such as Rhinoceroses, Eagles and various Insects,
not to mention different variants of monsters already seen in the base game.

You can hire mercenaries from a guild called “The Pale Hand”.
Its members come in a variety of profiles and can assist you in battle.
You can hire two at a time, one as a fighter, the other as backup.
The first will follow in your footsteps and fight alongside you,
while the second appears only briefly to cast a spell or perform an attack.
Each has its own abilities and skills, so it's up to you to choose the ones that suit you best.
The more you use them,
the more powerful they become and the more they develop new skills.

Expeditions in Kurast Undercity are a new type of dungeon.
These timed trials in the depths of Kurast require the extermination of the monsters that swarm there,
the destruction of their structures, and the lighting of lanterns to spread divine light.
It's a chance to earn lots of rewards,
and delve ever deeper into the forgotten zones of Nahantu...

New legion events are introduced, albeit fairly classic in essence.
The first involves protecting four buildings,
while the second involves collecting demon-held souls.
Far more interesting, however, is the battle with the Realmwalker.
This titanic boss beast carries an infernal portal on its back,
and wanders slowly through Sanctuary, escorted by a cohort of minions.
Exterminate his servants to irritate and weaken him,
destroy his protective structures to make him vulnerable,
in order to confront and defeat him in a final battle.
His portal becomes accessible to players, leading to a dungeon filled with enemies and interesting rewards.

A new type of level, playable in cooperation only, has been introduced: the Khazra Citadel.
These original challenges are set in a gloomy, hellish fortress,
heavily protected by demons of all kinds, and Khazras in particular.
It takes a great deal of tenacity and talent to progress through these dungeons,
and only the most valiant and talented adventurers will be able to overcome them and claim the treasures stored there.

This expansion is packed with new features and improvements.
Of course, new dungeons have been added, as well as weapons and items galore.
Characters now have additional inventories, one for gems,
another for elixirs, and one for emblems from Nightmare Dungeons and Infernal Hordes.
Difficulties have changed, and now number eight:
Normal, Hard, Expert, Penitent, Torment I, Torment II, Torment III and Torment IV.
A carefully crafted build for your character will be required to overcome the worst threats.
The maximum level has been lowered from 100 to 60, along with other changes.
Skill Trees and Paragon Boards have been reworked, with new abilities for new possibilities.
There are now 300 Paragon levels,
and glyphs can now be upgraded to level 100.
Glyphs are no longer upgraded at the end of Nightmare Dungeons, but when you complete a dungeon in The Pit at Cerrigar.
In fact, it's by reaching certain levels in The Pit that the higher difficulties are unlocked.
The difficulty of the dungeons is quite high, so you'll need to persevere to reach the end of these levels.

The tribal, primitive OST is particularly well done.
The soundtrack is an aural orgasm for anyone who loves grandiose, exotic orchestral music,
and almost shamanic tribal chanting.

However, there are a few drawbacks to this expansion.
While the plot is as pleasant as ever, it doesn't go on very long, and we're left wanting more.
The Spiritborn seems overpowered compared to the other classes, and no doubt a severe rebalancing will take place sooner or later.
There are too many enemies in Nahantu, and progress is not always easy.
Serious FPS drops can be felt, and even on a very high-end PC, optimization is not really up to scratch.

While Diablo IV was already far from stingy in terms of content,
Vessel Of Hatred adds countless new features in all areas.
The content is now colossal, worthy of an MMORPG.
Fighting the Underworld has never been as satisfying as it is with this first expansion.
In fact, it's much more than that - it's a whole new game.
There's so much more to say, I'm probably forgetting.
VOH makes Diablo IV even more grandiose and addictive than ever,
enough to keep you exploring Sanctuary and slaying demons for hundreds of hours!

Mirror's Edge is developed by DICE and released in 2009 for PC.
It's an original game, a sort of First Person Parkour.

The plot takes place in a huge city with no name and no soul, all dressed in white.
This dystopian society, in which information is controlled by the state,
emphasizes surveillance and security to the hilt.
Since the usual means of communication are no longer secure,
the few who resist this quasi-totalitarian regime call on the Runners to transmit their messages.
The player takes on the role of Faith Connors, one of the city's top Runners.
Her sister Kate, has chosen a very different path, she's a policewoman.
Faith intercepts a police call reporting an attack on the offices of Robert Pope,
a friend of her parents and favorite candidate in the upcoming mayoral election.
When Faith arrives on the scene, she finds her sister standing over Pope's dead body.
The police suspect Kate of being behind the murder,
since she was already on the scene before the police officially intervened.
Faith must do everything in her power to escape the police and clear her sister's name.
But all she has taken with her is a meagre clue, a piece of paper marked "Icarus"...

This adventure is rather atypical in the world of shooters,
since it's a parkour game disguised as an FPS.
The gameplay is exhilarating and the atmosphere unique.
Faith is a slender, athletic and dynamic runner.
She'll have to use all her skills to deliver her documents and escape from the police.
Her best weapons are her speed and agility, the skills she needs to parkour.
She'll often have to climb over obstacles, slide under others,
jump from gutter to gutter, from building to building,
leaping from bar to bar, use zip lines over long distances,
sneak into air ducts, etc...
She can also run through doors.

Just don't expect to kill enemies by the hundreds,
Faith isn't really a warrior, but a Runner.
She doesn't seek confrontation, preferring to run away from the threat to complete her mission.
If Faith finds herself cornered, surrounded by police,
she can always fight back, kicking and punching.
If necessary, she can disarm the police and use their own weapons against them...

The game is very pretty and ages very well thanks to its distinctive aesthetic.
The city's architecture is classy, with a clean, minimalist design.
Most of the buildings are white and devoid of emotion.
Advertising and interiors, on the other hand,
feature bright colors that contrast with the clinical atmosphere of the exterior.
Lighting is beautiful, with the use of lens flare in particular.
The level design is very well conceived, and the maps are pleasant to navigate.
Thanks to the "Runner's Vision", important elements turn red as Faith approaches them.
This reveals the most accessible route to take, but it's not always the quickest.
The "Reaction Time" allows you to slow down the action
and concentrate on what you need to do,
and anticipate enemy movements in the event of a confrontation.

The levels are interspersed with anime-like cutscenes, very well realized and skilfully staged.
The absence of a TV series derived from the game is almost regrettable.

The soundtrack is very eclectic, and sets the perfect pace for the frantic chases between Faith and the police.
The theme "Still Alive" sung by Lisa Miskovsky is a real masterpiece.

There are, however, a few drawbacks.
Some passages in the game can prove arduous due to the absence of Quick Save.
The checkpoints are quite far apart, and some sequences can be quite frustrating.
The game is quite demanding, you'll die and retry several times.
You need good timing to carry out the action sequences with precision.
The cops are sometimes heavily armed, while others are formidable in hand-to-hand combat.
Mirror's Edge is very short, and its lifespan is artificially lengthened by its poorly balanced difficulty.
The game is limited to 62 FPS and the FOV cannot be modified.

The 2000s ended on a high note with Mirror's Edge.
Its innovative gameplay and singular artistic direction make it a highly enjoyable game.
But you'll need a lot of patience to fully appreciate it!

Sniper Ghost Warrior Contracts 2 is developed by CI Games and released in 2021.
It's a stealth action tactical FPS.

Raven is a mercenary sniper working for a secret military organization.
He is sent on a mission to Kuamar, a fictional Middle Eastern state,
with the aim of annihilating the rogue state's political and military figures.
The Sniper will have to carry out targeted assassinations,
and various secondary objectives to overthrow the current regime.

Forget the icy Siberia of the previous game, Kuamar is an arid, rocky land.
Desert zones abound, surrounded by mountains, canyons and, paradoxically, a few forests.
The semi-open maps are immense, and there are no vehicles to cover them.
Fortunately, Fast Travel is part of the game,
otherwise you'd have to walk for miles like in S.T.A.L.K.E.R..
What's more, the level design of the maps is very well thought-out.
The game looks very pretty, thanks to the CryEngine, which has never aged.

You'll need to be discreet and precise to complete your missions as smoothly and efficiently as possible.
To this end, you'll be equipped with state-of-the-art equipment that will prove extremely useful.

Sniper rifles play an important role in the game.
You'll need to calibrate your scope and find the right angle of fire to neutralize your target.
A Bullet Cam is regularly triggered, so you can enjoy the most effective shots.
They're as gory as you could wish for, with headshots that brutally explode skulls,
blood and bits of brain spurt out in all directions.
Not to mention the dismemberment caused by explosives.
The shooting sensation is truly exhilarating!
You'll regularly have to shoot down enemies more than a kilometer away from your position!

The Mask introduced in the previous opus makes its return.
This marvel of technology can scan the terrain for clues or equipment to pick up.
You can engage thermal vision to better discern potential threats.

The binoculars not only zoom in, but also mark enemies,
which is very useful, as some of them will be positioned at a very long distance from you.

The Drone Falcon is used for terrain reconnaissance,
to mark enemies from the air,
hack into remote cameras and even fire tranquilizer darts.
However, the military has jamming towers placed all over the place,
You'll need to disable them to take full advantage of your flying tool.

The little remote-controlled turret can shoot down enemies with great precision.
Just mark them beforehand and the turret will shoot them in the head.

That said, there's nothing to stop you attacking enemy bases as you would in a more traditional FPS.
You'll have to deal with countless terrorists, but you'll be equipped accordingly.
Weapons are varied, consisting mainly of pistols and assault rifles,
but also sniper rifles, of course.
Various weapons and equipment are available for purchase.
You earn money by completing mission objectives.
Also, weapons can be customized and modified to suit your needs.
You can change scopes, barrels, magazines, etc...
Weapons also offer excellent shooting feel.

No particular worries, apart from a few crashes,
and the impossibility of modifying the FOV.

After finding the previous game catastrophic, I was expecting the worst with this second opus.
However, I was pleasantly surprised by the high quality of Sniper Ghost Warrior Contracts 2.
Indeed, the major drawbacks of the first SGWC have disappeared.
The developers must have understood their mistakes and done their best to correct them.
While the game has the false air of a big patch and DLC, it improves on the formula of the previous game in every respect.
It's better designed, more diversified, longer, more violent and, above all, much more enjoyable.
It's best to buy this second opus rather than the first, since it's not really a sequel.

Sniper Ghost Warrior Contracts was released in 2019.
It is the fourth installment in the SGW franchise.

You play as a contract sniper assassin named "Seeker",
under orders from "Handler", part of an unknown organization.
You'll have to carry out targeted assassinations and secondary objectives,
to bring down the regime of the Siberian Republic.

You have a high-tech mask that you can use as binoculars, allowing you to mark enemies,
and scan for surfaces to grab onto and objects to pick up.
The arsenal is quite varied, the shooting sensations are nice, and sniper shots trigger a Bullet Cam like in Sniper Elite.
The game is quite beautiful, thanks to the CryEngine. The scenery is snowy, beaten by the blizzard and topped by the northern lights.
Those are the only positive points I have to say about this game.

SGWC is riddled with stupid ideas that detract from the game.
The water is icy cold, and you'd better not venture into it for too long or you'll die of hypothermia.
The level design is as bad as it gets, with every conceivable, if not unimaginable, flaw.
The maps are immense, but there are no drivable vehicles!
Fast travel doesn't work after completing an objective!
Checkpoints are horribly misplaced, and the game doesn't save automatically when an objective is completed.
This is supposed to be an stealth game, but there are ultra-armored enemies where you need to go, making combat inevitable.
The ballistics are quite difficult to manage, especially as the enemies aim very well with any weapon, even at long range!
Maps are infested with minefields and robotic turrets that aimbot shamelessly.
Objectives are poorly marked on the map, which is virtually illegible.
You get fall damage for ridiculous jumps, as if you had the brittle bone disease...
A pixelated pattern is displayed when you're shot, making the action blurred.

Get away from Sniper Ghost Warrior Contracts while you can!
This dreck is staggeringly mediocre and a real pain to play.
Don't waste your money, buy the first two games in the series instead.
Otherwise, go for Sniper Elite, which is a TPS in more or less the same genre,
but much better made and, above all, much more fun.

Battlefield Hardline is developed by Visceral Games and released in 2015.
It is a spin-off from the DICE series, abandoning the traditional war context,
to focus on clashes between gangs and the police.

The plot plunges us into the heart of the Miami Police Department in Florida.
Nicholas "Nick" Mendoza is a cop known for his expeditious methods.
Accompanied by his female sidekick Khai Dao,
they'll do everything in their power to put an end to drug trafficking,
from Miami to Los Angeles.
The duo will have to put as many gangsters behind bars as possible,
or eliminate the more dangerous ones who refuse to surrender.
The local police have questionable ethics, as do the gangs,
and corruption reigns supreme in all circles.
Will you be a good cop or a dirty cop?

The narration is very much in the style of an American detective series,
with clichéd but effective dialogue, small trailers when you stop playing,
also when you resume the campaign.

The duo of Nick and Khai is very likeable, the two colleagues complementing each other,
and their philosophy of police work is, to say the least, opposed.
It's just like TV, only better!

The gameplay is far more original than what we're used to from the series,
especially since the classic Battlefield Bad Company 2.
Forget ultra-violent confrontations with the military or terrorists,
you'll have to be discreet to stop the thugs,
It's always more professional than ending every operation in a bloodbath.
However, the hard way will sometimes be necessary with the most hardened criminals.
By neutralizing criminals, you'll earn points to unlock weapons and equipment for customization.
You'll also need to investigate crime scenes, seize drugs,
collect incriminating clues and other evidence to bring down the trafficking networks.

Nick is a pretty well-equipped cop, which isn't bad considering the task ahead.
In particular, he's equipped with a scanner that's connected to the police database.
This jewel of technology can identify and listen in on potential suspects,
and study the various clues left by the thugs.
But that's not all: the grappling hook and zip-line can also be used to reach strategic areas.
Better still, the Taser can neutralize criminals without killing them,
which comes in handy if they resist arrest.
Nevertheless, if things get out of hand, firearms are still the best way to defend yourself.
You can choose your equipment from the crates or lockers provided.
If you get killed, you can choose other weapons and equipment before respawn.
There's a plethora of weapons to choose from: pistols, assault rifles, revolvers,
shotguns, machine pistols, sniper rifles...
Weapons can be customized with various accessories, such as different sights or barrels,
and even choose a skin for each weapon.

The gameplay is fun, and there's really no time to get bored.
In addition to neutralizing offenders, you'll get hot pursuits,
car shootouts, airboat piloting in swamps and much more.

Despite its style, Hardline is a true Battlefield.
The gunplay is fun, the graphics and weather effects are pretty,
and the scenery is as destructible as ever.
However, the recurring flaws of the series are still there.
The AI is very weak, and even the maximum difficulty "Hardline" remains easy.
As usual, there are a few hitbox issues...

Battlefield Hardline stands out in a franchise accustomed to classic war FPSs.
The plot is well thought-out and interesting to follow,
the gameplay, halfway between infiltration and unbridled action, is great fun,
and the multiplayer is a credit to the old Battlefields.
In short, the game is very good, and you'd be wrong to pass it up.

Battlefield Bad Company 2 was developed by DICE and released in 2010.
It is the logical sequel to the first Bad Company,
which was unfortunately never released on PC.

Following the insolent success of Infinity Ward and Treyarch's Call Of Duty,
published by Activision,
EA decided to retaliate by creating a single-player campaign,
for its prestigious Battlefield franchise.
Released in competition with Call Of Duty Modern Warfare 2,
BFBC2 stands out for its offbeat tone and destructible settings.

The U.S. Army is seeking to recover the components of a super-powered scalar weapon, missing since the Second World War.
Some elements of this technology have since fallen into the hands of the evil Russians.
The good Americans are on the case, looking for the missing components.
This is where the Bad Company unit comes in.
You are Private Marlowe, accompanied by Haggard, Sweetwater and Redford.
You'll have to eliminate a number of well-equipped but not very smart enemies,
in cold Mother Russia, the lush jungles of Bolivia,
as well as in the favelas and deserts of Chile.

The plot may be serious, with high stakes,
the game is humorous from time to time,
as the Bad Company characters often make amusing remarks or jokes.
The spirit of camaraderie reinforces the group's cohesion.
In fact, Bad Company is made up of four colorful and endearing characters.
Private Marlowe is calm and serious,
Sweetwater is the geeky nerd of the bunch,
Haggard is a simpleton, a sympathetic brute,
and Redford is the leader of the squad, reminiscent of Major Johnson from Halo.

The sound design is very good, and the music is of a high quality, albeit very classical.

In addition to being relatively beautiful for its time, Bad Company 2 is also very brutal.
Most of the scenery is destructible, especially walls and buildings.
Desert sand reduces visibility,
while the blizzard will freeze you to death if you can't find a source of heat.
Marlow and the Bad Company can kill tons of soldiers in a variety of ways,
For example, you can pilot and destroy everything aboard tanks, helicopters, boats, jeeps, and you can even use a drone…
In short, the four guys really don't have time to get bored.
They have a whole range of weapons at their disposal:
sniper rifles, machine guns, shotguns, pistols, assault rifles,
and even old-school rocket launchers, without laser guidance or homing heads.
The squad's basic weapon is the XM8 assault rifle, equipped with a sight.
This weapon, once considered the replacement for the M16, is a rarity in video games.

However, although you'll have a good time playing BFBC2,
some of the game design choices are rather curious, not to say annoying.
You can't pick up weapons from enemies you've just shot.
This is surprising, to say the least,
but you can pick up a few weapons that appear on the radar,
or choose the two weapons you want from the supply crates.
You can't lean left or right to take cover, neither prone, nor crawl.
Although the battlefield is full of enemy turrets, you can't use them.
While Marlowe's health regenerates automatically,
it's not the same for the vehicles, and it's not possible to repair them.
There are a few hitbox problems to be deplored.
Since December 8th 2023, the game has been deprived of its multiplayer mode.
Worse still, BFBC2 ends on a cliffhanger and its sequel will probably never be released.

Battlefield Bad Company 2 is a very good FPS war game,
similar to Call Of Duty and Medal Of Honor,
but with a touch of humor and a lighter tone,
and a few minor shortcomings we could do without.
The game hasn't aged too badly, but a Remaster would be welcome.

Battlefield 1 is developed by DICE and released in 2016.
It takes place during the First World War,
until now little represented in war FPS.

The single-player mode features five distinct campaigns,
which can be played after a brutal introduction,
showing the unprecedented violence of this war.

The story begins with a young English tank pilot named Daniel Edwards.
In the France of 1918, the Germans are throwing all their forces into the battle,
hoping not to lose any territory to the Triple Entente.
You'll have to do everything in your power to reconquer enemy positions.
You're in command of a Mark V tank nicknamed Black Bess, with phenomenal firepower for its time,
armed with a turret and cannon that can devastate the enemy camp.
There's no better way to shoot down German infantry, destroy their artillery and blow up their Panzers.
The feeling of mighty power is ultra pleasurable, you can even reduce buildings to rubble.
However, from time to time, you'll need to patch up your tank and find parts to do so.
Of course, you'll also have to shoot the Germans who get in your way...

Clyde Blackburn is a daring fighter pilot in the Royal Flying Corps.
In 1917, he fought the Germans in his Bristol F2A,
over the snow-capped mountains of the Vosges Massif in France,
but also in the skies over London, England.
The ace fighter had to shoot down German planes with his machine gun,
destroy enemy airships and flak with his rocket launchers,
and escort Allied bombers on their missions.
On land, the gameplay is more classic,
Blackburn will have to traverse German-held villages,
He'll have to kill their infantrymen in gloomy trenches full of mud, corpses and barbed wire.
By the way, Blackburn is also the name of the soldier you play in Battlefield 3, released seven years earlier.

In 1918, the Italian Alps were also the scene of intense battles.
Luca Vincenzo Cocchiola is an Italian soldier in the Arditi Battalion.
Dressed in his heavy knight's armor and powerfully armed,
he battles Austro-Hungarian infantrymen in the hope of finding his brother Matteo alive.
To do so, he must also destroy their artillery and vehicles to reconquer enemy outposts.

Relive the Dardanelles Campaign of 1915 through the eyes of Australian Frederick Bishop,
a seasoned soldier fighting alongside New Zealand troops.
The Ottoman Empire must be confronted in trenches, villages and even forts.
The enemy is ruthless, and they have the advantage of their position…

Zara Ghufran is a fierce Bedouin who seeks vengeance for her people against the Ottomans.
She is accompanied by the legendary British soldier Lawrence of Arabia,
who will help her face the enemy in the scorching desert of Mesopotamia in 1918.
Her mission is to destroy a huge armored train with a powerful artillery force.
Of course, you'll need to eliminate the many Ottoman soldiers in your path.

The characters are charismatic and engaging, and their adventures are a pleasure to follow.
Battles are epic, intense and exhilarating.
Each of the maps is gigantic, and you can even ride a horse to make faster progress across the terrain.
The period weapons are fun to use, they are very powerful and hard-hitting.
Melee weapons include shovels, pickaxes and other tools.
It's also possible to charge with a bayonet!

The quality of the game is impressive, and brilliantly conveys the atrocity of the First World War.
The setting is grandiose, brutal and downright explosive.
The destructible buildings contribute to the ambient chaos, which is DICE's specialty.
War, horrible as it is, has never been so beautiful.
The graphics are sublime, the lighting effects striking, not to mention all the splendid pyrotechnic effects.
The sound design is excellent, as is the music, which makes every scene epic.

The campaigns are excellent, but unfortunately too short, as is always the case with FPSs of this type.
That said, the absence of the French and Russian armies is perplexing.
As with all Battlefields, the AI is weak, the hitboxes are sometimes messed up,
and I even saw a few characters appear or disappear in my field of vision.
All in all, that's nothing.

The Great War is the perfect backdrop for the Battlefield saga.
The change of historical context does a world of good,
especially for those used to FPS based on WWII or modern conflicts.
Battlefield 1 is excellent in every way.
The atmosphere is captivating, the production is meticulous and the combat is thrilling.
This is a game not to be missed under any circumstances.

Battlefield V is developed by DICE and released in 2018.
This episode marks a return to World War II,
after years of modern warfare to copy the Call Of Duty games.

I'm not going to beat about the bush, I found the game abysmal,
the single-player part at least.
BF5 has four distinct campaigns, each almost as bad as the next.

Billy Bridger is a former English delinquent who is as dumb as he looks.
In 1942, the army gives him a chance to redeem himself rather than rot in prison.
He has to fight the Afrikakorps in the deserts of North Africa, destroying as much of their equipment and vehicles as possible.
But the idiot can't even make bombs that work properly...

Then, in 1943, we played Solveig Fia Bjørnstad, a woman of course, as Wokism dictates.
As well as being a real tomboy, the Norwegian woman fancies herself a strong woman but is totally devoid of charisma.
Mademoiselle will have to find her scientist mother,
who is being held prisoner by the Germans,
and stop the export to Germany of heavy water used in atomic weapons research.
You can ski to get down the slopes faster! Isn't that great?!
And if the Germans don't manage to kill you, the freezing cold will!

Worse still, we play the role of a Senegalese Tirailleur named Deme Cisse in 1944 France.
In short, the black soldier and all his African companions must work to liberate France from the German yoke.
As if it wasn't possible to play as an American or British soldier.
The developers couldn't give a damn about the French Resistance either.
It's probably more in tune with the times to have a black man killing white men.
This campaign is a disgrace from start to finish, a stain that tortures French history.

Finally, you play as Peter Müller, Commander of the Wehrmacht Tiger 237 tank crew.
In the ruins of 1945 Germany, you'll have to destroy American Sherman tanks,
as well as other tanks and their infantry.
From time to time, you'll have to get out of the Panzer to shoot down planes with flak or recover important documents.
This campaign is quite great overall, but it's not enough to make BF5 a good game.
As someone who always wanted to play the Germans during WWII,
it had to be in one of the worst games of its kind.

The characters are not at all endearing, in fact they quickly become irritating.
Fortunately, the single-player mode is fairly short, so you don't have to suffer for long. Thank goodness for that!

The staging is Hollywood-esque, with quality cinematics,
but the whole thing is weighed down by a stupid script,
cringe-worthy narration and absurd situations...
The pretty graphics and lighting effects, as well as the destructible sets,
do nothing to change that.

The gameplay is very classic,
and the weapons offer a pleasant shooting sensation despite the strange ballistics.
You'll need to destroy enemy vehicles and equipment,
drive different types of vehicles, including tanks, etc.
Nothing really original.

Objectives are poorly indicated on the radar,
and it's not immediately clear what you need to do.
The maps are huge, with very few objectives to complete.
I sometimes feel like I'm in a walking simulator,
or being almsor alone in some insipid battle royale.
It's impossible to bend over without aiming,
health takes forever to regenerate,
weapons are solw to reload...
The AI is completely retarded, just like in Battlefield 4,
probably to reflect the developers' lack of intelligence.
What would an EA game be without bugs?
Expect collision problems and enemies falling through walls!

Battlefield 5 is a total mess full of historical inaccuracies, even defecating on History.
EA has deigned to stuff it full of woke and cringe, so much so that the game seems to be at war with common sense.
How could anyone produce such a crap after the excellent Battlefield Bad Company 2, Battlefield 3 and Battlefield Hardline?
And what's more, it weighs in at 90GB!
As soon as I finished the game, I uninstalled it, and I never want to hear about it again.
