This game is a scam, the vast majority of the developer's claims are false, and I was banned from discussions for questioning him. He claims to have gotten a bomb threat and "an offer he can't refuse", but cannot substantiate either of these claims and is being extremely vague about them which makes him look like a liar.

The developer claims in a discussion post that he will open-source the game "a few years down the line", but I do not believe he actually will. My own post that I got banned for said to open-source the game, and it was deleted. They fired new devs and turned down others because "only he knows the code", something straight out of the YandereDev playbook.

The game is not made with any actual information from real aliens, the developer is mentally unwell and takes Internet larpers calling themselves aliens on random forums at face value.

The game was always at Early Access quality at best, yet was published as a full release at a full release price that was frankly too high for what the game offered. Developer claimed the game was worked on for 10 years, which is not believable. This game is nowhere near a state that it should be after 10 years of work.

I fully expect a disingenuous developer response saying that I'm the liar which continues to provide no evidence of his claims. You worked on the game for 10 years? Prove you did. You're in contact with "real aliens"? Prove they're real. You got a beneficial offer from someone? Prove it's real. You got a "credible" bomb threat? Prove that it's real, because I'm not taking that at face value mixed with everything else.

I think he bit off more than he could chew, couldn't take the pressure, and decided to fabricate a fake threat and a fake offer in order to abandon the game that we paid money for. If the developer cannot substantiate their claims, do not support this project.

Edit: Dev response speaks for itself in how absurd it is. You charged money for a game, failed to deliver, then took it off-sale without finishing it. As far as I am concerned, that makes it a scam simply because you took money for it and did not deliver what was paid for. You continue to say you were threatened, yet once again you do not back up your claims. If this is how you respond to being called out on that, then frankly, you do not deserve support in any way, shape, or form.

This is a result of your own actions, and being childish about it only hurts your case more. You could have provided proof, but instead you did this? I don't know what you really expect at that point.
