If you are playing this for the nostalgia ignore my review and go for it. The game is running flawlessly on modern machines.

For newcomers: this is a very small sized (4.8 hours) call of duty (including the same fonts throughout the game, same blurred background wind noise sounds when you die, same menus, its crazy) but with no weapon variety. VERY corridor-y (CoD hides it better). The game is basically shoot the same enemies through four levels of many generic corridors: secret lab, school, hospital and secret facility. VERY repetitive. Not scary at all by modern standards.

Don't buy this for the campaign unless you really like walking simulators such as Dear Esther, Firewatch, What Remains of Edith Finch, The Invincible...

Base game is absolute rubbish, you get less content than free DCS base game. I'm not against DLC, quite the opposite, it's a way to generate revenue and keep enhancing the game in the long run but they chopped the base game in a billion pieces and are selling them with an agressive pricing. Also it's crazy how they implemented an always online DRM for offline carreer mode. F you.

Why you would want this anyways: F'in incredible in VR+HOTAS.

This fantasy machine is actually really good, a better rendition of football to pinball than william's. I got it for free but I would have gladly paid for it.

Yet another game that “won” because it’s the only one in the genre. Arma III not only looks really dated, but it’s also still very badly optimized. I bought it to play with friends but mainly for the campaign. During the campaign, save spam is a form of self-defense. Vehicle hitboxes are so bad that I always shoot for the center of mass. The AI is extreme—either super dumb or omniscient, but always shooting though vegetation (except for that dense 2-meter tall grass). Bugs riddle all the game. I had a case of a mission, 1 hour in, that the game bugged and I couldn't reload or fire any gun. This game is overall a pain, which might be compensated for some by a few diluted great missions and uniqueness on the soldier simulator take.

Thumbs up because the game have so much potential, but I cannot reccomend in the current state, it's way too lacking content. The updates are flowing, tho.
