I've since bought it for three of my friends.

If I had a behelit I'd sacrifice this game in a heartbeat.

Short and sweet—exploring the park on foot and feather is an absolute joy. The layout of the island is meticulously crafted, both guiding the player and encouraging exploration. The characters you meet along the way are funny and endearing, and the writing is snappy.

Climbing is fun, though simple. Collectibles improve your stamina. There are several side activities, such as fishing, that are simple but enjoyable as well.

Some may be turned off by the pixelation effect, but I rather enjoyed it, and played the entire game at the default setting. You have the option to reduce it, though I didn't mess with it much. The simple character designs and environment details work well with the effect.

Music is fantastic, nice and laid-back, but I wish it kicked in a little often and consistently. What's there is chill.

I wish there was more to explore, but I also appreciate the brevity. The island is dense, and I enjoyed every minute of the 3ish hours it took to 100%. Highly recommended.

Better than the original in pretty much every regard. Packed with content and extra modes, it wears its bizarreness on its sleeve. The backgrounds make no sense, the music is a mishmash, and the artwork is eclectic, but all that matters in the end is the sublime combat and the smile on your face.

The perfect game to kill 10 minutes and 1000 kung-fu dudes.
