2015 update includes new train free?
For some reason I have that new class 801 train even though I have not given those fuckers at DTG a single cent since experienceing their idea of "quality" and "customer service".

The 801 was going to be for those that had test track but they then thought they'll give it to everyone. From what people are saying it's a copy and paste job of the 395 with some small changes.

They gave us (all of us) Hitachi Super Express Concept train when Railworks 3 TS2012 was launched. When they launched TS2014, they basically stole that previous gift from us - and they were very thorough, because they even deleted that from our DLC libraries.

So this is mere face saving gesture from them... and since it is far easier to give it to everyone, than to sort out who had it originaly and who had not, they decided to give it to everyone.

Why the hell dont they just give back the super concept? This new train is just like one of the other ones that came with a route.

How did they remove the super concept? I could still use it in that scenario but I didn't try using it anywhere else. I mean with the 801 it only shows up in quickdrive because I have no scenarios for it.

The train doesn't seem that bad but those "Image not expected here" squares are confusing and make it feel like an accidental leak of a development version of the train. Also it doesn't work very well with raildriver but I've long given up on the idea that they have the brain power to maybe make their game work with a controller designed for this type of game over an xbox controller.

I find it funny that I own all of their "new" trains for 2015, one because they gave it to me and the other 2 from DLC 2 years ago. Just shows how much more interested they are in making money over the actual simulator.

Try to redownload the SEC - of course they can not remove that from systems where it was installed already (well, they can, but even they wouldn't be able to survive the following shi*storm), but they denied us the ability to redownload it.

Hence the 801...

It's worse than that. 395 sounded at least. This one is quite silent.

The IEP was not given away it was a listed component of the software, (It was even on the cover of the UK edition) ... people paid for the IEP like all the other content included in TS2012 ... DTG saying we took it away because its a free gift is just a big fat lie, regardless even if something was free its still unacceptable to remove something that was gifted ... the 801 is not a free gift its compensation for a stolen item, its a sweetener so some people dont shout "theives" at them ... The whole excercise is DTG testing the water to see what they can get away with taking from customers, the next step is they will start serreptitiously removing DLC from customers they have directly paid for ... its easy for them to steal like this because as its digital products there are no laws (as yet) to protect the customers ... even the DTG apologitsts come out with lines like well if this DLC doesnt work anymore or goes missing I hope I get a discount when i buy another (WTF!) ... in this climate its easy for DTG to steal from customers and get away with it, DTG are just testing to see how easy it is ...

I couldn't agree more.
They are, indeed, testing how far they can go.

This, combined with the fact, that all DLCs from Steam are now encrypted (so in case, they remove something from our libraries next time, we are basically scre*ed, since we will not be able to run it), drove me to 3rd party content providers, who are treating their customers far better than DTG ever was.

This group will need to keep a eye open for this removing of DLC. And if anything gets removed make sure there is a big noise made about it.
