Yo apparently there was some confusion from last Magic Night but I'm reinstating the old Magic Night until I hear otherwise from the workplace. I have no idea what's going on with my Visa and apparently no one else does either.

So yes Magic Night tomorrow, and also on the other appropriate Sundays for at least another month or so.

Just wanted to update y'all to let you know that my India trip was delayed (I think we all knew that) and now it's looking like I'll be leaving in two to three weeks.

Should mean I'll be able to get another Magic Night in but that kind of depends on some other stuff. I'll know soon.

Yo so I think I gifted you all DOTP 2014 for Steamas. The base decks it comes with are not that fantastic, especially compared to the earlier games, but there are a couple of ways to make it better.

Firstly, the DLC. The expansion comes iwth a Samurai deck that's pretty cool. The first deck pack has a reanimator deck, the second deck pack has a Fairies deck. These are three of the most fun decks in the game.

Secondly, there are promo codes you can put in to unlock an extra card for each deck. Ten in total and they give you access to some really good shit. Armageddon for the Slivers deck, Force and Cryptic for the Jace deck, Jitte and War and Peace for the Samurai deck, etc. I believe you put these in the Promotions page under the extras menu but it's not too hard to find. People have trouble putting them in, getting errors that they're invalid and such. Generally verifying the game's cache, disabling and enabling Internet content, and making sure the game isn't read only fixes this. The codes are as follows:

Lastly, the game itself is actually pretty easily modified. To get started you need to disable the game's WAD check. This has the added bonus of making the game start faster. You can find a .dll to drop in the folder here: http://www.slightlymagic.net/forum/viewtopic.php?f=99&t=10896

This basically just allows you to customize the decks and decklists without the game freaking out about it. Then you can add ready made decks by other people as custom DLC or find a deck builder for DOTP 2014 to build your own decks to bring into the game. I've been using a 20 deck custom DLC for a while now and having a blast with it. Last I heard this is no longer hosted anywhere but I can pass the files along to anyone who is interested. It's got reanimater, clerics, elfdrazi, storm, zombies, turbofog, burn, landfall, affinity, and a few other goodies.
