The City Project is a gaming community focused on Minecraft and ClassiCube servers that are based on building cities or nations with jobs, politics, and many more opportunities. Players decide where they want to live in, who they want to work for, which party they want to vote for, and how they live and survive. There is no limit to possibilities, the only limit is you. Join us today, create your own future.
We started off as "Real-Life Roleplay Server" on ClassiCube by Kingmb. Eventually, the server was renamed to The City Project with Pear and Kingmb at the helm. Major development occurred on the ClassiCube server driven by Pear's and Kingmb's effort. The Minecraft server was developed at first by Pear as a spinoff for a project, but eventually separated from the now-defunct project to join its sister server on ClassiCube right here, where it's officially recognized as The City Project.
When you join, it will send a request to us. This is so that we can prevent spambots. We usually review join requests very quick. If your request hasn't been answered for two weeks or more, let a staff member know.
I have some sad news to announce regarding The City Project. Our host (Kamino) has decided to shut down Redliner in 60 days due to the cost and other reasons that I will not mention here. However, he is still thinking about this decision, so hopefully our server will not shut down. I do have few options that we could do should the worse happen.
1) We can setup a donation system (with me donating couple of dollars) that will help pay the cost of running Redliner.
2) We will move back to our original host, Eddynetweb's Hosting, which is less powerful than our current dedicated server. This means that the ClassiCube server will be laggy for few people.
3) Shut down The City Project for good until we find a new host or I start making money by not being lazy.
I know that MCGalaxy is very light for a dedicated server, but you're dealing with several websites, couple of Minecraft and ClassiCube servers, a Pterodactyl panel instance, a IRC network, a platform for internal communication, a Git service, bouncer, and more. Most of which I use a lot for The City Project.
THIS DOES NOT MEAN THE SERVER WILL BE DELETED!
I have spent far too many time building maps with people I enjoy gaming with for my server. Instead, it will be backed up (for when it'll restart in the future) and taken offline.
I will keep this group updated on what will happen to The City Project.
