Overdue Update

The server, is now back on Rust++, and its frame work of Magma. So thats the first thing you needed to know.

Second, on Tuesday, March 11th, we are removing all structures(player built). We are not messing with your characters.

Thirdly, check out our new starter kit. Its changed and we hope it to promote more pvp, and get more people on the server!

We are trying out, the Oxide[rustoxide.com] mod on the server. Why because we are bored with the lack of functions that Rust++ had. The oxide mod allows us to do so much more! Arenas will be working soon, as they are already built.

Door share doesnt work off the old mod, it would not transfer. So reshare with your room mates. Or make sure the doors have a 4 digit code they know.

Admins, see me to get you squared away with what you need to get set on Oxide.

A small Monday morning update for you guys, getting it out of the way in the hope of bigger things later on this week.

fixed unicode not working in name tooltips

fixed people using colours in name tooltips

removed ‘hatchet to gather’ tooltips

added whitelist servers

fixed broken explosives

fixed being killed by harvesting resources

The whitelist system is as simple as we could make it. If a server assigns itself to a Steam Group you need to be in that group to join it. Whitelist servers that you can join will show up in the whitelist tab on the server browser. We won’t ever show servers you can’t join (in both the normal tabs and the whitelist tabs).

Server owners can make their server a whitelist by doing something like this in their config file:

server.steamgroup 103582791429523489

Servers will need to be restarted before you can join them. If you can’t find your favourite server on the server list it’s because it hasn’t updated yet.

The server has been updated, but it is not running rust++ as they need to update to the new patch!

Had to wipe the server as of 2/08/14

We got a mail that said we all needed to wipe the servers. Due to a bug that Gary did on the software. So with that said you have lost everything, it was a complete server wipe. We the admin did as well if that makes ya feel any better.

FPSPLAYERS.COM - Network Upgrade and Downtime

Dear Community,

As we continue down the path of our 2014 upgrade plan which will see us improve services, expanding into Europe and introduce DDOS protection across the network. We’re now at the next phase of our upgrade plan which will be the most noticeable.

Over the next few hours and days we’re beginning the process of upgrading our core network and main services that run off it. These services encompass our Web Servers, DNS Servers, Mail Servers, MYSQL servers and TeamSpeak servers. During the upgrade process you may see some of our services become slow or timeout. We will do everything possible to ensure this is kept to a minimum. This will allow us to improve the service we offer to our customers along with a new wide range of products and services.

We’ll do our best to stagger the servers we take offline so we don’t just turn off and disappear, Please note this will not affect your game server – it will continue to run, the game control panel which you would use to start/stop and update however will have some small outages.

For customers with websites we do anticipate a 48 hour replication delay which might cause some down time with your website.

For customers with TeamSpeak servers your IP will change, this information when it is ready will be communicated on our Website but to play it safe instead of using the IP to connect you can use “ts1.fpsplayers.com:PORT” replacing port with the one you were assigned when the service was made active.

Updated communication will be given when each step is completed.

RUST update is on server

24JAN14 update is on the server however the mod is not working and will not be working until the developers for the mod get it updated for the new patch.

So the server will be in vanilla mode till that time!

We moved because of the lag issues, the constant rubberbanding, and the lack of customer support. This new server is on the FPSplayers.com server group and hosted in Dallas, TX.

Also dont forget to join us on Mumble as the admins do sit on it and bullshit a lot! Our mumble address is:

There is no password on our mumble at this time!
