Steam Remote Play Together Infinite Loading Screen for clients, if I am the host.
Dear Steam Community, unfortunately, the support was not able to help me resolve the issue I am facing.
The remote play function does not work after going through all the steps in the FAQ.
Whenever I am the host, my friends (clients) are stuck in a loading screen.
On my End, I see that there is indeed a connection. However, they cannot see nor control anything.

We/I did the following steps to try to resolve it:
1. Assure the Steam is Up to date.
2. Game has been launched several times and is up to date as well.
3. My friends see me online playing the game
4. Open the overlay, invite my friend/s to remote play together.
5. They do seem to be connected. (I see them in the overlay and I can assign them the different contollers and activate the key board for them.)
6. At this stage, if I would have joined them, I would see the game and could press start to join as well.
However, for them, this is not the case. They are in an infinite loading screen. (This only happens if I host (out of 3 other friends)

Common Issues:
- All the ports metnioned in the FAQ should be open, but additionally they have been manually opened as well, just to be sure.
- Game does not take long to load (The Binding of Isaac: Repentance)
- At first I was always tabbed in, but later we also tried tabbing out and back in, etc. but my friends are still in the loading screen.
- (Isaac) it is a Steam Game
- The sound is set to stereo.
- Voice recording is not a goal of us/me
- My (host) PC is good equipped:
Intel Core i7-5820K [ 3.3GHz / 15MB ]
MSI X99A Gaming 9 ACK
Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4 [ 32GB ]
Samsung 950 PRO M.2 [ 512GB ]
Samsung 850 PRO [ 512GB ]
Asus STRIX RAID DLX
MSI GeForce GTX 1080 Gaming X 8G
Power Supply: Corsair HX1000i
- Tried with keyboard only, x-box controller only, PS4 controller only, and any combination of those.
- The Game (Isaac) is supported, since it works if I am the client.

- Windows 10 is used by all of us
- I'm not sure what UAC dialogs are, but I does not require "permission" to play the game.

Further Troubleshooting:
The computers do not see each other because we are not in the same network, But we can invite each other and we do seem to be connecting to eachother.
- All drivers are up to date.
- Windows is up to date.
- The graphics card driver is up to date.
- Hardware acceleration and hardware encoding have been turned off after initial trials.
- We all have acceptably good internet (download of 100Mbps or higher and upload of 20Mbps or higher)

We googled the problem, and someone seems to have solved his problem, by adjusting the framerate of his PC.
We all (Friend A 244hz, Friend B 144hz, Friend C 60hz, Me 144hz) adjusted the hz to 144 and 60 to try whether it solves the problem. But it did not.

Another Idea my friend had was trying to start in big picture mode, to maybe avoid the loading, but this did not help either.

We really are out of ideas.

Did anyone have the same problem and was able to resolve it?
Thank you in advance for your reply! :loh_Heart:

Best regards
Marronii

Try this. Steam top left corner>settings>web browser> delete web cache not cookies.
Downloads>delete steam downloads cache. Steam rstarts and you need to log in again.
Use video dimension supported by your resolution. My settings

Hello, I had exactly the same problem. It did not concern neither of computers ( my friend's one or mine ) and was not connected to any of steam / windows settings. In my case forcing my router to use only IPv4 protocol helped. I hope it will help You.

Hi, did you find a solution to the problem? Because i have the same one

Hi Velya, unfortunately it did not. However, It is now possible to play it online with your friends. Until that was possible, we just played on my friends account and I joined him instead of hosting it myself.

Good luck with your tries though!
