Hey friends, this quarter we'll be tooling around in EVE Online, which you can play for free!

Too much learning curve and grind for an uninitiated player.

...Also I prefer space games in the way of Freelancer, where you put in as much skill as you get results out, by manually flying and shooting.

It's actually gotten a lot better in the curve for a new player, I've found.

I moved to Komaa System onboard a crap ship, but this is all i can fly right now. Not sure what to do next. I joined the corp channel.

Now that it's been over a year, have you kept playing? Did you discover the seedy underbelly of this hive of scum and villainy?

I did play on and off, but I cancelled my subscription due to my uncertain job situation.

There's still plenty of things to do as alpha (free play even if you've subbed at some point). Also, you can just buy 500 plex and go omega that way, not like 2b isk is hard to make in a month.

Between Rimworld, FTL and EVE, there's not enough hours in a day.
