Finding objects that an esp uses
Is there a way to filter the object window in some fashion so that it will only show objects added by, for example, "Bluecow.esp" or something like that? For my own esp files it's easy enough to remember where they are, but when looking through other peoples esps I'm not sure how to see what objects they've added. Thanks for your help!

I don't think the object window filter can do that.

However, in the data files menu, when you add a new .esp, click on the fle to highlight it, then click details. This will pull up a list of everything that has been changed or added by that esp.

If you click on the "Type" heading, it will sort everything by type, so you can see, for example, all the races, armor objects, spell objects, etc., added by the plugin.

In addition, I recommend using prefixes for any new stuff you add in a mod. This avoids both name clashes with other mods and makes your changes easy to find: just type your prefix in the Object Window filter and click on "*All" at the bottom.

Another way to get a good understanding of what a mod changes is by opening it in TES5Edit (it's on the Nexus). It shows a list of what is new and what is changed (and which values were active before that). Apart from that, that tool also really helps cleaning your own mods of changes that you weren't aware of (which happens pretty easily in the creationkit).

If you are in a particular section of the object window, such as perks, or magic effects, you can click the formid header to sort by that column and since those ids are incremented as the new elements are made, the changes the mod has made should all pop to the top of the list.
