Welcome to the Shattered Worlds[] Alpha playtest Steam group!

You can gain Alpha access by clicking the download link below.

The SciFi Card & Wargame
Shattered Worlds merges the excitement of modern collectible card games with the glory days of hex-based SciFi wargaming. We combine fast-paced card action with tactical positioning. Outthink your opponent on different hex maps filled with space hazards!

There are currently two modes of play: Skirmish & Matchmaking:

Skirmish mode
Selecting a Skirmish game allows you to battle against AI controlled decks made by other players. You can make your own Skirmish deck for other players to battle against, (in your deckbuilder under the Skirmish tab.) If your Skirmish deck wins a battle while you are offline, you will earn credits! Basically, you are always playing against player content.

If you enable matchmaking, you are actively looking for other players to battle against in a normal PvP manner. Check out the tip below:

How to find opponents
Meet up with other players and make sure you enter the group chat to let people know you are looking for multiplayer opponents.

How to Play, discuss the game or give feedback
You can also ask questions in chat, open a discussion or look into the official Playtest Forums[] to check out our Game Reference Document while we work on a tutorial. Also, you will get notified about announcements or any upcoming events.

But, ever onwards we say :) We decided to do away with the forum (and the continous spam/hack/porn attacks pffffff) and create a brand new Discord server to keep any feedback/suggestions for the game as easy to handle as possible. Its a great place to connect with players.

You can also find a brand new playtest build there that is way more easy for us to keep updated (about every week). So, hopefully you will get a chance to try out our Deck Challenge mode, see what we did with the Captains and their new Archtech progression trees, check out the unified unit cardpool and challenge a dev for a multiplayer game, among other new things.

Awh it's a nice game i've played it on firstlook but yah no one is using matchmaking :(

Np I helped out at some other games as active member of the community and as unpaid staff/forum mod etc.

Its to early for me to play/do much but I will play when changes come and let people know of my thoughts about the current state of the game

Heya mate,
Thanks for thinking along with us! Really appreciated :) We actually toyed with the idea of leaving deck size up to the players. Interesting. Would make a fine discussion topic! Rarity of the cards currently shows abbreviated in the topright corner of a card. (Common, rare, epic) Though, this is really needs to be more user friendly. We do have some neutral units and effects in the game that are allowable for every race. e.g. Eframe Hitsquad, and saul's Salvage. You are right though that the interface for building a deck and the clarity in what cards you cant or can add to it (and why!) should be clear. Thanks!
