[UPDATES] - Patreon Launched + In Need of a New PC

Patreon Launch

Back in July of 2016[reviewhaven.x10.mx], I started up a Patreon account[www.patreon.com] in the hopes of trying to make something out of what I do - the YouTube channel, my fractal art, etc.

As of today - it has gone pretty much nowhere.

That said, I still hold out hope that it'll take off one day soon.

Currently, it acts as another outlet to post my videos and art that I've created. Giving a little more exposure to them, maybe - I don't think I even have any followers on Patreon either. Not actually sure if that's tracked or not.

PC Failing

That brings me to the main issue at hand.

My PC is failing.

It's an extremely old rig - even after parts have been replaced - those replacement parts were also old. The newest part in this thing is roughly 3 years old.

I've already made a Patreon post detailing most of the problems[www.patreon.com], but I'll shorthand it here.

Programs like Cinema 4D & Photoshop hang and lag immensely.
Fractals take days, sometimes over a week to finish rendering - even small ones.
Video editing takes forever - the GPU is old and out of date. Rendering takes many, many hours - even on short clips, depending on effects used (IE: A 3 minute Audio Reaction video shouldn't take 48 hours to render.).

It's not exactly fun trying to work on a project on this thing.

I've had to stop streaming because of it. I've had to stop making fractals. I've had to slow down my content creation - I've gone from having 4-5 videos in a week, to just 2-3 (The Tuesday & Thursday videos stopped after Remember Me finished.)

I'd like to get back into streaming, and I'd like to get back into doing retro playthroughs as well .

I want to get back to creating at least 1 fractal a month.

So, I wrote that post. It details not only the problems I'm having, but also ways that others could possibly help out. Links to all of my shops where people can buy prints/t-shirts as well as mentioning my Gameshow affiliation, where a person could buy the Gameshow streaming/recording software through me and I get a cut of it.

And, obviously with it being a Patreon post, the ability to donate to the Patreon itself.

I don't expect this post to do much more - there are only 10 members here, and most of you probably already know about this anyway :P - but, the group is public, so maybe it'll get seen a little more than not at all.

That's about it for that. Currently waiting to hear back from Square to see about a copy of NieR: Automata - if I manage to snag that, I'll have a review & playthrough of it as well.

I also plan to review Final Fantasy XV once my playthrough finishes - and by that I mean when I, personally finish the game and finish recording/uploading it, not when the playthrough finishes posting on YouTube.

Currently on Chapter 8, so a little over halfway done.
