Make multi-wave 666 endurance more clear
Skullcove Slaughter Screamhouse has 3 waves and is a 666 mission. The problem with it is that many players (including myself) often assume that it is a 1 wave mission because the first wave is long and the wavebar only says 666 and not wave 1/3. Every time I play that mission, I have to tell the team that it is a 3 wave mission and not to disconnect after the first wave. And every time there are a couple surprised players. Players don't pay enough attention to notice that the announcer doesn't say her usual lines for the last wave or that there is no victory screen.

I get that MM is finished and you probably won't do anything about it at this point, but in any events in the future, can you make an announcement when either a wave starts or finishes about the wave count? Like "[SM] This is wave 1/5" etc. It would really help make 666 missions clearer.
Thanks

Yeah, I think this would be good to have. My HUD settings don't allow me to see the wave number and the total number of waves in the mission (most likely because of the minimal HUD setting), so I've found myself asking the team "is this the last wave?" quite a few more times than I would've been comfortable with.
I dont see a problem. On the site, when connected to the server, you can see how many waves are in the mission. Blind and dumb players were and always will be

I'm not sure what exactly are you trying to say here but the thing with using EventPopFile Halloween is that it sets the wave bar to say Wave 666 no matter what wave it actually is (You only see the actual amount of waves via potato.tf)

While on the server you don't see which wave you're on because every wave is displayed as Wave 666

The website is neither an intuitive nor convenient place to look for number of waves. Most people likely gloss right over it since, in most cases, the game supplies an accurate number of waves. That said, MM is no longer being supported, so this feature is not going to be added.

I assumed as much. I mostly posted it here for possible future campaigns.
To be fair, connecting through the server list does show what wave the server is on out of how many - same for the server browser. Additionally, who would disconnect from a mission directly after they beat a wave? If you were to finish a wave, then you'd instantly load into the next one either way, so that's when they'll realize "hey, this isn't a 1-wave mission!".

Unfortunately that isn't how it works. For that mission, it is a long wave. The wavebar has a lot of different bots. After the long first wave, a second equally long wavebar appears. There isn't enough of a difference to make it obvious that it is a second wave. And no one looks at the wave bar too hard because they think it is the wave that they just beat. Also the website/server browser doesnt help if you voted to change to that mission. You are relying on the fact that most players pay attention - they dont. On paper, players would realize that, but since I have seen over 30% of players either leave or are very surprised when I tell them that it is a multi-wave mission, clearly there is information being lost somewhere. Try playing that mission some time and announce to the team after the first wave that there are 2 more to come. You will probably find some surprised teammates.

In the end, it is a minor problem. It won't make much difference.
