Ahh, good. Hopefully people will start changing their settings and this nerf won't be so bad. Hopefully.

Yeah, that's true. If you go to "Play Multiplayer" from the main menu in TF2 you'll see a checkbox just below the "Play Now" button that reads "Official servers only". It's checked by default. Also, there's a new convar you can change in the console that corresponds to this box. Settting tf_quickplay_pref_community_servers to 0 is the default (official only). A value of 1 will do community only (my fav) and 2 will do both.

Hey cockman, while looking through the TF2 discussion boards, I read that it is an option to be able to quickplay join community servers. However, joining valve servers is the default option, and players have to go to their options to re-enable joining community servers. I haven't fact-checked this though.

I don't mind at all, Nelak. We're all in this together. Best of luck in the coming days!

This is the same for us Phoenix. If you don't mind I'm going to make an announcement linking to your info as well.

Oh no! Even though I haven't played in forever it would be a shame to not see new faces when I do hop on to play. D:

there should be an option where players can set valve, community, or both for the servers

You can thank the scumbags over at Bets.tf, saigns, and nightteam for this. They abused the quickplay with ads and forced HTML motds for the purpose of earning money, and valve threw a blanket fix on it that fucks the actual good community servers

Indeed it is. Please help spread the word. Valve needs to know that people still want communities.

D: Nooo! That's awful!
