Server gone for good

For everyone who hasn't noticed yet, I took down the server for good.
It has been empty most of the time for weeks/months now, so it is too expensive to keep it running without purpose. I won't have time to create new maps anytime soon (talking years here) either, so there is really no point.

It was a nice time with everyone, maybe we meet again with HL³DM ;)

As you may have noticed the (new) server that I switched to has been down since december. Unfortunately I don't have time yet to figure out what's wrong (this one seems complicated). I don't think I can fix it before february.. so.. shoot ya then!

Hi folks!

Due to technical difficulties with admin mods that don't support AMD 64-bit processors (and thus suck!), I had to change to a different server. The IP address is now: 83.133.126.131
So make sure you add it to your favorites!

Sounds

As you might have noticed, this server is not free of "say sounds" anymore. I tried to be somewhat original / decent / grown-up about the selection, as I'm usually very annoyed by immature sounds on other servers.

If you say !soundlist, a list of all sounds appears in your console. Unfortunately there is no other way to show the list right now. To play a sound, just "say" the name of it (e.g. hi).

Today I have removed old sounds that were never used and added a host of new sounds, including many samples from the tv show family guy :) I hope you will like them.

In-game chat

After, what is it now, almost half a year valve finally fixed the chat for linux servers. So now we have team chat again.

We need fixes!

The old server is offline now and the new one took it's place. As you can see/hear it has say-sounds now, just to annoy the hell out of you :)
The new server seems a bit shaky at times, I'll have to see if there's anything I can do about that.

Unfortunately text messages are still broken on HL2DM unix servers. As Valve is releasing all kind of stuff right now, it's no wonder they don't have time to fix it. Let's hope they can free some time for the deathmatch community..
