Pricing policy!
Game is now nearing the state where it can be released as public alpha, early access. Unfortunately no, it wont be on Steam at this point.

Anyway, when the game comes out it will have "random pricing model" in use. It means that every time I update the game, the price will be randomized. Price range will be 1 to 20 bucks.

Don't buy when the price is high unless you are completely sure, as it probably comes down sooner or later. Don't get mad at the prices, they are completely random and will change.

Buyers will get all the subsequent updates for free.

Stay tuned to know when the game is out!

will there be any DLCs ?

If everything goes well, I really hope so. DLC would mean new car to play with.

Hey do you need any kinda help doing this game, i got some small knowledge of modding games and such, also really want early access ;) (c) suomipoeka

When is the early access going to happen? Do we get the steam version if we buy the non-steam early access version? Make it happen fast, I want to play this game! :D

Not yet sure with the early access, I want to polish a lot more some of the current features. Then early access, and more features after that. As considering Steam policy, I cannot promise Steam keys for those who buy it before from other outlets. I will take a look into that.

I hope the randomization is made in some fancy way (etc. every saturday with finnish lottery system and first ball divited with 2 (the price range would then be 0.5 - 19.5). I'm just worrying it's some kind of python script or worse and audience doesn't know if you fool us :|

That is actually awesome idea! I never thought of that. I could implement that for the very FIRST randomization for the release price. For the subsequent price changes there has to be other system, as there might not be updates for every week or there can be several per week.

That seems like a very strange pricing policy, but I guess that is okay for finding out what people are willing to pay for it. :)

Hope it comes rather soon and doesn't fall into the "endless polish before showing it to the public" trap. But of course it is understandable to make it really nice before showing it to others and charging money for it.

No endless polish, but playable features need to be polished so that they are not broken or glitchy. Other thing I need to consider is that does the game have to reach state where new updates don't break current saves. If so, then there is still long time to go until game is ready for release.

You could work around the issue of savegame backwards compatibility by providing the alpha/beta versions as standalone zip-files, similar to games like Rimworld, so you can keep them in separate folders. Also in already released games like Europa Universalis and Crusader Kings, backwards compatibility isn't always guaranteed between major version changes, but they do provide you with the option to run old versions via the Steam beta tab. I think it just becomes an issue if you forcefully override past files/savegames without giving the user an option to work around it. :)

can i use paysafe to buy it ??

It depends on the store front where the game will be first published. I think credit cards, Paypal and Bitcoin work at least.

Will this make it to the summer sale?

Currently Steam looks very difficult to get into. It would require official established business at least for developers from Finland, and currently I have zero interest in becoming entrepreneur. Only way I see it is as if I get enough money from pre-Steam-sales then I can afford the risk.
