ABOUT Save the Moa

Stop people from shooting, stabbing, eating, and abusing the Moa

The Voice for the Moa foundation assists with the reporting and prosecuting of Moa abuse. Law enforcement officers are responsible for the investigation of Moa cruelty, which ranges from misdemeanor to felony, depending upon the severity and level of intent.

The Moa are being eaten away by the natives at reach. Sometimes even killed for fun. This is a serious issue that must be stopped.

The Moa are creatures native to Reach. They are large flightless birds that resemble extinct Earth-based Moa. They seem to have feathered bodies and scales from the neck up, leading up to a very lizard-like head. The Moa are harmless and will not attack humans. They will take shelter under bridges and other formations if and when there is a battle nearby.

I once saw a Moa in a bathroom. I followed it out to the desert and then watched as it chased after another Moa, such a beautiful sight in the oinkish orange sky.I gave it a cookie and then me and the Moa skipped into the sunset. Only after that wonderful experience did I decide never to smoke pot again. (> ^ ^ )>

Well Moas were on Reach long before the humans were. Their droppings are a natural cycle. Besides if there were never any humans on Reach the Covenant wouldn't have glassed Reach. They would find no need to do so.

For the record, every ear Reach farmers lose over 10% of their crops to Moa. Their droppings actually provide no benefit to plant life and must be carefully removed from the crop fields, lest it build up to an ungodly level that smothers the plants and provides a fire hazard. These creatures have no good impact on Reach and serve strictly as nuisances.

After the events in 2552, there was some research into why Reach fell so easily. As it turned out, Moa droppings are highly flammable when introduced to plasma. Therefore, when the Covenant attacked Reach, the fires that were started due to Moa droppings caused the planet to glass that much quicker, giving UNSC forces less time to try and save the precious planet.

Keep this in mind when trying to save your lizard birds. If it wasn't for them, the UNSC may have stopped the invasion and humanity could have won the war much quicker. So Moa are in fact directly the cause of death for millions.

TL;DR Moa are murderers. KEEP IT CLEAN!
