Server Crash Exploit Fixed. New Bot Distribution System

The game had a serious vulnerability that allowed the rainbow femboy crew from AVPUnknown to crash our servers by using Cheat Engine together with the Marine melee attack. The vulnerability has now been fixed, but Marine melee attacks will deal zero damage. This does not affect the actual melee mechanics in any way: heavy attacks can still be interrupted as before. In any case, the increased pistol damage should compensate for this. This is only a temporary measure. We are already investigating possible workarounds that would allow us to restore melee damage without bringing back the server crash exploit.

As for the new bot distribution system, it works many times faster than the old one. Bots now automatically select the race assigned to them, preventing situations where the ai-teams become unbalanced. If a server becomes full, the last group of three bots is guaranteed to leave, freeing up slots for real players. If I have more time in the future, we may also work on making the bots more active and lifelike.

We have also rented a server in the United Kingdom to test a new Linux-based hosting setup. The server is called: =STDM= LV-426 <UK> You can now choose the server closest to you from three countries: Deutschland (Germany), the United Kingdom, and Italy. Later, we may expand to North America as well.

Damage Changes on the "Nostromo" Server

Due to frequent complaints about the Plasma Caster, we have decided to adjust the weapon balance. The Plasma Caster can no longer kill a full-health player with a single fully charged shot. Plasma Mines have also been weakened. Several underpowered Marine weapons have been improved: the Pistol, Flamethrower, and Smartgun now deal more damage. For the Xenomorph, only its acid blood damage has been increased.

For now, these changes will only be active on the Nostromo server. After further testing, the update may be introduced on all other IDS servers as well.

Server News, Unbans, and Bots

On July 2, 2026, the server located in Germany will be shut down. Later, the =DUEL= Yautja Prime instance will be moved to the Italian server.The reason is simple: AvP2010 is a dead game. Very few people still play it, and even large groups with 500 members do not bring any real online activity to the game. There is no point in wasting money on an additional server.

Some players will be unbanned, specifically those who were banned by the Anti-FS protection system.

The bot project is frozen due to lack of time. We achieved decent results and managed to teach the bots how to navigate the map and patrol areas, but combining a hobby with real work is difficult.

Family Sharing Accounts

Family Sharing accounts will now be automatically banned because AVPUnknown members are using them to crash our servers.
So if you get banned, please do not take it personally. Most likely, the anti-FS guard was triggered. There is only one solution: play from a real account.

New duel server

A new duel server has been launched in Germany, Frankfurt: "[IDS] =DUEL= Yautja Prime" The server uses standard maps, and the time limit is set to 20 minutes. If you want any special settings or maps, write your suggestions in the comments below. Good luck and have fun.
