Stuck at 1536x864 resolution

I'm having difficulty streaming at 1080p from my host to my client. I've only had this problem with two games: Batman: Arkham Asylum and Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons. These games stream at 1536x864 @60fps. I have no problem getting Borderlands 2 or Bioshock 1 to stream at 1080p @60fps. I have tried playing with the client setting of fast, ballanced and beautiful. It does not affect the streaming resolution. I have hardware decoding enabled. Bandwidth is set to automatic and the resolution is limited to 1080p. In the host settings, I have hardware encoding and prioritize network traffic enabled. I have tried turning down the graphical detail to the lowest settings, but the resolution was kept at 1080p. This had no affect on the streaming resolution.
Any idea on how I can get the resolution up to 1080p?

Host
i5-4670k
R9-290
Client
Pentium g3258
HD-5850
Both are connected to my router with gigabit ethernet.
Both are on Windows 8.1

Do you have 125% DPI scaling set on either machine? It sounds like that's where the odd resolution is coming from. You can disable it per-application, but what you turn it off on depends on which machine has the scaling on.
