The Game Orphanage

As most of you know, ever since Steam changed it's gifting policy things here at The Orphanage have been slow.
Oh, who am I kidding? Things here, at The Orphanage, have pretty much just stopped.
Except for the few steam keys that have been thrown on the porch (like from Humble Bundles, etc.) there have been no new arrivials at our door.
I suppose, as a placement facility, we should be happy that games aren't being bought in the heat of a Steam Sale only to be left on a shelf or discarded once the buying frenzy has ended and the remorse has set in.
And we are.. ya know.. happy about that.
Of course, when I say 'we' I mean Tank and myself, as I've had to let all the other employess go. I just couldn't afford to keep them on the payroll.
And, frankly, the only reason Tank is still here is because he gets paid in plastic poker chips.. and, even with that, he had to take a cut in pay.

- aww.. Tank don't mind. Tank work for cause, not pecuniary gain.

Which brings me back around to..
Steam's Summer Sale 2018
So, it's summer time, and the living is steamy.
You know the routine, the game hasn't changed.
No, wait.. actually, it has.
hmm.. I guess Steam wasn't content with just ruling earth, so it has devised this invasion game and is using it's summer sale as a call to arms.. or perhaps tenticles.
But, with this sale, it has become obvious that Steam will never be content until there is a little Steam (or a Steam ally's) flag poking up on every square inch, of every game planet, in the whole gamey galaxy.
How long before they come here, to our tiny orphanage, and take away our few remaining games, declaring them as obsolete?
How long before they come for you, too?

It Is Time To Care, and that is why, until the end of Steam's Summer Sale (July 5th), the Game Orphange will fly, and I will be fighting under the red flag of resistance. There may not be many of us now (acutally, there is just me) but I expect our numbers will grow over the next few days.
So, I urge all GWG members to pick up the gauntlet and join with me. (Directions: when you create your charactor , don't forget to click the little white flag over your head, then from your groups list choose GWG's Fist of Resistance flag.)
Ok, I'm marching off now, but Tank will be holding down the fort, here, until my return. So, even if you're a pacifist hippy chicken ♥♥♥♥ who lets others fight your battles, you can still help the cause by adopting one of our remaining games. We must keep them outa the steamy hands of oppression.
