absolutely not J. If someone makes such a statement, it is completely normal to check if they live up to that. In this and most cases not and when caught they try to distract.

Comments on Steam and this specific downvote festival against Borderlans - whereas it is actually Take-Two and on a far bigger scale - will not solve or change anything. The wrong one gets blamed+punished while the world stays the same and continues with these practices. There needs to be stricter privacy laws to prevent and forbid privacy infringement and manipulation abuse on every media. I prompt everybody to support data and privacy protection laws in your countries that will actually make a difference and we won't have these problems and discussions in the future.

I'm not going to go back and fourth, but yes technically we do not own* products when purchased on steam, and soley played using steam (*you can through other means, though not play online); However many products with clauses like these take away even MORE rights of ownership and privacy, that we should simply have as owners of the product.

We shouldn't just be okay with a bad practice being made worse, because "it's already bad"-that's called becoming numb to mediocrity. Every little change is what counts, and constantly advising people to stay away from a product that continues a negative trend, through negative review bombing and posts, will eventually force T2 to notice and make the EULA changes.

Thanks for reminding me yeah, i will downvote all their games.
Also weird to scour my profile to find this btw, bit weirdo behaviour.

Probably damage control for changing the EULA or just bringing in new fans to the franchise as they lost them with that move.

@SexyPanther - Read my last comment again and you'll see i'm not dismissing anything, I'll repeat it again. I DON'T like my information being used for profit, I'm NOT defending the company, the point i'm trying to make it here is why this game in particular? and not EVERY single game that does this?

Also yeah, i do have 5 seconds memory, real mature

Also owning games is a thing we have lost a long time ago, when you buy anything here on steam you already don't own the game, you are just buying the license to play it, valve/steam can take it away at any time, so you don't own it at all.

J. : then why do you at the same time recommend Bioshock?! Bioshock is a 2k game (their parent is Take-Two - same with Gearbox and Take-Two). They have the exact same TOS! According to your allegation that makes Bioshock a spyware too.

Will you now downvote Bioshock and every Take-Two game (GTA games, civ games, Red Dead Redemption etc.) too or is this just simply a hypocritical Borderlands bashing?

Spyware game.
