Note, by the time I got to Dredmor, although I had well over a thousand bolts, I was nearly COMPLETELY without food, though I did have some healing potions (which I was trying to conserve). I would have had an easier time was I not forced to search the entire level to find him (including having to fight through a big zoo on level 15). I found the zoo, ran away from it hoping I wouldn't have to clear it, then discovered that Dredmor had to be on the other side of it.

Righteous/Holy damage WAS bad, but my bane were those damned Deep Ravens. I just could not hit them with melee.

This is why winning with NTTG ought to be an achievement all by itself. It's just damned hard to get enough basic resources.
