welcome to the Cafe

The Cafe of Broken Dreams is was a elite group of video-gamers, hailing from the pre F2P-era of Team Fortress 2. We play an assortment of video games now and sometimes host events. Most of the time we sit in IRC Discord and complain about how bad video games have become.

Check out our website to see this same information in a different format or join the Discord to reminisce about when TF2 was fun.

Group membership has been closed for some time now but if you do hang out with us or play on our TF2 server, please feel free to join (and maybe shoot doc a message so he knows who you are).

Cafe's TF2 Server - Still Here!

tl;dr: server changed ip: 74.91.114.30. Add this to your favorite TF2 servers, as the old IP is now gone.

longer version:
We've used Nuclear Fallout for our server hosting for about 15 years now and they informed us that they have to give up the IP address we've been using and move over to this new IP address.

They assured us that this will not happen again, but because of how TF2 stores it's favorite servers, the Cafe has disappeared off your favorites list; you must re-add the server to your favorites. If you're reading this message I'm sorry - this is mandatory.

You can always add the address of cafeofbrokendreams.com:27015, as this will always point to the correct address. (But when you add a favorite server via domain names, it just gets the IP address and adds that). You can also add our new permanent IP: 74.91.114.30

The Cafe's end date was originally going to be April 2020. And then 2020 arrived and boy this has been a cruddy year.

So here is the new plan: Cafe lives. The Cafe will continue to live and run a TF2 server until I get bored of paying for and running a TF2 server.

The server will always be around in some form to jump back into and kick around in. Rainbow Ride will continue to exist. Pregame Mayhem will always be here. Nucleus will remain strong.
