I believe these are all games that use a Grappling Hook:
Mark of the Ninja
Umihara Kawase
A Story About My Uncle
Trine
Just Cause
Dying Light
Darksiders
Batman
Tomb Raider
Assassin's Creed Syndicate
Star Wars Jedi Academy
Terraria
Lost Planet
Worms Armageddon
Far Cry 4
Bionic Commando
Bioshock Infinite
Maybe games about pirates, because Captain Hook from ? I'll try to find a completable one for myself that fits the criteria :)
Yes, that is exactly what I meant, thanks for the suggestions! :D
Awesomenauts (has characters with hooks)
Binding of Isaac series (because very addictive)
Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (look at how many people play it, definitely addictive)
Goat Simulator (if tongue is the hook)
Left 4 Dead series (if tongue is the hook)
The LEGO Movie (I think, it has hooks if it has batman...)
Lost Planet series (addiction to thermal energy in game)
Outlast (protagonist is surely addicted to journalism if he goes inside...)
Sid Meier's Civilization V (no comments)
Worms series
If to count survival game as hooked from various resources, then I would pick out also:
Metro series
Sunless Sea
The Long Dark
Anyway, I can add some games that came in mind about this theme
Anyway, probably there are more games, but nothing came in my mind now.
Have to say: I really loved this idea!!
Sure, that can count :) And like Per3zat said, "completed" is up to you. For this event in particular I will check if the achievement for "Main story/campaign completed" was attained this month, or, if there is no such achievement, whether a good deal of other achievements have this month's date or the game got lots of play time from you, relative to the actually possible time - for example, you'd only need 1-2 hours for Gomo, which has no achievements, so that amount of time is sufficient, but for something like Dota 2 I'd expect more to count as "complete"/"sufficiently experienced" ;) (couldn't think of another "endless" game with no achievements right now ^^). Btw, Gomo could actually count, he sort of has hooks for hands and pulls himself up on them ^^
(this part is more explanation for everybody:) If you plan to finish a game without achievements/did it already this month and want to enter it for the event, please let me know early enough so I can see your play time for the last 2 weeks.
Thanks for the extra suggestions, Douglas! I'd say if you use the crowbar like a hook (pull yourself up on it or something), Half-life counts :)
Also, I'm glad to see you guys like the idea :3
I'd almost say it counts double then, but only one count per game ;)
And guess what! You're chased the whole game by - you guessed it - a guy with a hook for a hand. Thank you hook-handed guy. You made my day.
Thank you for reading my story, fellow assassins of the backloggish variety. I wish you well.
