When there is no more room in Hell . . . the Undead will walk the Zombie Gaming Servers

For all of those George A. Romero fan's out there, I have created a preservation grade digital archive for the Monroeville Mall — featuring Dawn of the Dead 1978 history.

For horror fans, Monroeville Mall is not just a mall. It is "The Mall"[monroevillemall.org].

It is the place where George A. Romero turned ordinary retail space into one of the most iconic locations in horror history. But beyond Dawn of the Dead, the mall has its own story — decades of stores, renovations, community memories, photos, events, strange little details, and pieces of history that are slowly disappearing. For the Monroeville Mall, that fate is coming soon with Walmart's plans to demolish this hollowed space. Such a place is really now seen by Romero fans as "A Temple" as described by Ken Foree during the 2026 Living Dead Weekend.

More importantly, it is a preservation-focused archive dedicated to Monroeville Mall, its history, its connection to Dawn of the Dead, and the community that remembers it. The site includes historical milestones, photos, videos, store-directory entries, news stories, film-location references, memorabilia, and community-submitted artifacts.

Members can submit artifacts, help identify old stores and locations, participate in forum discussions, and contribute their own memories.
