All Assassin’s Creed games have featured a "diversity disclaimer" as one of the opening screens. There have been two versions thus far:

I don't think it's very subtle.

It's a clear virtue signal - they even use the word "multicultural."

The newer version also includes LGBTQ+ propaganda. That change in and of itself seems very telling to me.

Why would a developer put this in a video game at all? Is there any other purpose it could serve aside from political propaganda?

You can find the same language used on corporate DEI pages.

Just want to chime in and say, the reason they put that up was an "please don't bomb us because we're altering history of your culture", since AC was middle east (y'know, in 2007...), and it just kinda stuck as an "free-pass to shit all over whatever culture we choose because we got different skinned devs". That disclaimer is the least woke thing in AC games.
