Vague similarity to Europe via the buildings mainly.

Fantasy 1900s maybe, there are offshore oil rigs, magic sea monsters and sea ghosts.

The minority NPCs aren't worshipped by the plot and aren't any more than fluff on a merchant UI window.

Maybe I'm biased because I found the atmosphere incredibly immersive and the game surprisingly addictive if a little casual and grindy.

Anyways I think we should be careful not to become as extreme as those we're trying to counter.

I enjoyed the art style and the atmosphere as well, but felt that this type of character, especially in the very beginning of the game was out of context and immersion breaking. I have never seen a black woman mechanic in my entire life so seeing one immediately from the start felt more like a DEI plant than anything else. This was also not an isolated incident as there were other visible minorities presented in an "equitable" way.

Agreed. Here's a list of some of them:

The shipwright is a Black woman.
The travelling merchant is an Asian woman.
The builder is a woman.
The researcher is a woman.
The engineer (The Iron Rig dlc) is a woman.
The foreman (The Iron Rig dlc) is a POC.

Given what appears to be a 20th century setting, the diversity seen in-game is extremely improbable. It is unlikely that women would be in any of the above-listed positions. The foreman being a POC is also extremely improbable.

As a result, this game will be added as not recommended.

We should be become as extreme as necessary to defend our norms. I received Dredge for free and the forced multi-racial cast was totally out of place. The setting is obviously inspired by Lovecraft and 20th century Western civilization so those types of characters do not belong there.

Off topic, but why do you capitalize black?
I noticed a lot of the "news" websites do that as well, while white is lower case..

The left's downfall and the current total rejection of their values happened because they went from a reasonable stance (tolerance of difference) to an extreme one (jail for perceived violations of woke tenets etc).

If we follow suit we're doing nothing more than paving the way for the overthrow of our values because sooner or later we'll become as outrageous and insufferable to the normie as the left became.

A lot of wokeies I know are actually disturbed by how quickly their reasonable wing was usurped by extremists and how quickly it became dangerous and futile for them to speak up against the radicals.

As long as things like recognizing Body Types as woke aren't seen as extreme and in fact try and be normalized then it's all good. Some people think Body Types are "ok" and not woke and think putting games on curators for that reason is extreme.
