What Happened to "The Adventures of Relic Rick"?

Why was "The Adventures of Relic Rick" renamed to "Relic Rogue"?

Firstly, the name was a bit too long for our tastes. We felt we needed to shorten it. Next, as we were developing the overall story of the game, we felt the main character should not have a name, it is YOU who is exploring these dungeons, so naming the game "...Relic Rick" just did not fit the bill. Lastly, we wanted to strengthen the storyline; why you were exploring such places. Instead of just playing as a quirky adventurer wondering in dungeons for basically just to find treasure, you are playing as a thief who steals from dungeons for specific relics that a buyer wants. We felt the former was too... cartoony... so we changed the story to be a bit darker. We believe this is more of the style of how the game should be... and personally, it defines our style of taste.
