Downloadrate drops from top to about 40kb/s

I've got some problems with my downloadrate since yesterday. For some reason, my rate starts off normally with about 1,3mb/s (not much, but my standard). After a few minutes, it beginns to fall slowly. After ca. 15 minutes it stays put at about 30-50kb/s, which is like nothing. Once I restart Steam, it all beginns a new.

I just got this issue since yesterday and I know, it's no internet connection issue.

Goto Steam Client Settings..
Goto Web Browser..
Delete Web Broweser Cache and Web Browser Cookies...
Goto Downloads and Clear Download Cache

If this don't work try
If in Steam Client Stable Opt into Steam Client Beta...
If in Steam Client Beta Opt into Steam Client Stable...

Exit and Restart Steam...
Then Reboot Computer...

If that don't work I'm at a loss...

Post Back if this fails or succeeds..
So others will know...

This far it seems to work.
At least better than what I had before;
but still some really odd drops compared to my real internetspeed.
Hanging around the 2MB/s to 8MB/s
100mbp/s upload and 100 mbp/s download for the curious.

Alright, I did everything you said. The first step seemed to work for quite a while, but then my internet went down to the record speeds of 300kbs.
So alas I did the next step and lo and behold it seemed just as stable as the one before, before it just dropped down to astonishing 300kbs again.
I really dont know what's going on with steam currently..

Only Steam Can fix it(might be the summer sale going on now too...)...

Looks like some kind of Steam-issue. Let's hope they fix it soon. Downloading 25GB with this speed is really exhausting ^^"

.....I have this problem too now. It's maximum doing 400KB/s and it normally does like 30MB/s. Nothings wrong, I have checked task manager but its fine. I have also tried clearing my cache but that had no improvement. :/

Check your DNS settings on your router. If you have gigabit speeds try OpenDNS otherwise COMODO will do fine it is AI technology. With OpenDNS I will get 75MB/s COMODO 50MB/s.
