Cant Bring up the Config Menu.

Hi there! Ive installed FAR for Nier Automata but it seems the combination control+shift+backspace doesnt bring up the config menu for me. I dont know if im doing something wrong here, tried for two hours last night with no results. This morning too with no results. I get the yellow texts when starting the game and everything seems to work fine.

Hmm... I can't see any third-party software hooking it, but... I dunno if this is the cause of it, but the game seems to run at 1366x768 48 Hz for some reason?

What laptop is it you're trying to run the game on?

Its Dell Inspiron 7447 with Gtx 850m (if you mean this).

Open Nvidia Control Panel and ensure that the "High-performance NVIDIA processor" is selected for NieRAutomata.exe.

Nvidia Control Panel -> Manage 3D settings -> Program Settings -> Add NieRAutomata.exe and select High-performance NVIDIA processor: http://alteredqualia.com/texts/optimus/nvidia-control-panel-program-settings.png

Is this with an external monitor or the built-in laptop one?

Its the built-in laptop one. And I selected "High-perform..." for NierAutomata but it didn't work too. :(

Hmm... Let's try a full reinstall of FAR.

Start by removing all files and folders in the game folder until only these remain, then reinstall FAR using the automated installer.

After that is complete, run the game and configure it to run at 1920x1080 in fullscreen mode. Then restart the game and see if it works.

Also, check if both of these hotkeys work:
Ctrl+Shift+O - Toggle the OSD
Ctrl+Shift+Backspace - Toggle the control panel

Uhm...my max resolution is 1366x768. I re-installed it, " Ctrl+Shift+O " always works but
the control panel won't appear if I press "Ctrl+Shift+Backspace".

Huh, a bit weird. I thought that laptop was a Full HD laptop. Anyway, do you get any difference if you run the game in window mode and at 1280x720p and try the shortcut again?

I think its HD because in some games I saw 16:9 resolution. Well...Fuck my life, nothing change.

Sadly I can’t saw /what/ is the issue then. :(

We’ve tried everything I can think of. Kaldaien, if he comes around, might have another idea but I am sadly out of ideas myself.

I m having same problem , installed nier > installed far but the shift-ctrl-backspace/0
does nothing for me. Also no yellow letters or anything.
I re opened the far setup and only thing i can do is unistall.
I checked the dinput8.ini file and EnableCEGUI = True so i d really appreciate some help :/
Started the game and it plays from 40-53 fps.

You probably have some third-party stuff messing with it. Upload modules.log and dinput8.log from the logs subfolder to pastebin.com and link them here.

Got similar problem. I did manual install of the last (7.0.23) version, checked all prerequisites, fiddled with config and fixes from this (and some other) thread, nothing helps.

Whenever i start game in windowed mode i have no result from any of hotkeys. If i press "open config" hotkey my cursor moves to the second screen and if i'm in fullscreen then game minimizes. Meanwhile i can't interact with the game using mouse until i press same combination once more (effectively this means that i do open config, but offscreen? does second monitor have anything to do with this?)
Tried googling problems reated to secondary monitors, but couldn't find any.

That might be it, maybe? See what happens if you disable Tablet PC. I believe it's a service in Windows called "Tablet PC Input Service."
