Ultra important massive server change

[GS]Gregory — Wed, 01 Jan 2014 03:05:36 +0000

The server is now running starrybound server and this is a massive change.

1. No more passwords.
2. There are a ton of commands now. https://github.com/AvilanceLtd/StarryboundServer/wiki/Commands

3. This change though means I need a few people to step up and become mods/admins. Otherwise it can be griefed.

Going to implement the starrybound server mod which will add a full set of admin controls and commands. Doing this means I will have the take the server off for probably around 30 min.

Website up! Applications open!

[GS]Gregory — Sat, 28 Dec 2013 08:58:47 +0000

www.SotST.tk is the website and applications are now open. I have made the job much, much easier on myself for the long run.

There are forums however as of right now I have not set them up properly. I will do that tomorrow or the day after. Once they are setup I will disable discussions here and move important info to the forums.

If you are already on the server you do not need to reapply. Please do join the forums though as I look forward to discussing the severs future, mods and general stuff as well.

Thank you guys for using the server and being an awesome community! If you want to help out at all with anything just contact me via steam, I will probably be posting a donate link on the website soon enough. I would also love if someone could make a banner for the site.

Server news. Important.

[GS]Gregory — Sat, 28 Dec 2013 00:13:21 +0000

I have and am creating a basic website for the server and a better way for me to manage the applications. This should be done tonight.

I have also created a more official forums. Once both are ready I will post the link.

If you are interested in joining or are already around and want to ask me questions I will be in the group chatroom all day.

Added some forum sections so check the discussions page asap. Any important info will be posted and left in the Important forum section(duh) So check there often.

I am also looking to expand the server a bit, but before that I am also looking to create a better way for me to manage it. Which means I am looking for people who have been on it for awhile now to help me manage it talk to me directly. I am looking for people to mod the steam group, create events ect.
I am also thinking of creating an actual website for it to at the very least manage applications.

Starting tomorrow server will also hopefully be rebooting every 8 hours. Starting from 10am pst.
