Some tf2 server banned a bunch of people for following this curator

I tried to join a community server today on TF2 to find out I was permabanned. This came as a shock having not played on TF2 in many years and not remembering playing on this server or any of the groups servers.

It links to their sourcebans page where you can find out why you were banned. Come to find out I'm banned for, direct quote,

"Steam Community Group Ban (Slistingservice): Blatant bigotry; spreading conspiracy myths; general disingenuous and hostile attitude"

I was confused at first. I've never been on this server and certainly never commented on its community group, then I twigged the slistingservice probably referred to following this curator.

On further investigation if you browse the general ban list and go back to page 55, you will be in the midst of 6:33AM on the 10th of October and find THOUSANDS of other people banned.

I don't agree with Coe's views on tonnes of stuff, but the curations are often very good for finding out quickly if a game is a garbage port, full of bugs etc.

So #1, banning people by association is stupid, #2 Banning people without even knowing if they play TF2 is insanity and #3 banning people before they actually break any rules is bordering on pre-crime territory and makes you happy these doofus's spend all their life administering steam game servers and not in actual positions of power.

is this a feature Steam provides or some pathetic cuck server admins go out of their way going through the member list of groups like this to ban thousands of people manually? Imagine being like this. Modern TF2 players are crazies anyway or cheaters or both so not really a point to playing it anyways then they wonder why the games empty.

i have literally bought games sat on the not recommended list. The only thing even remotely close is that I refuse to buy anything that treats the consumer like garbage, such as Denuvo DRM or requiring uplay. Concern trolling is v. lame
