Let's of course though not forget to show support for Connor of MMOFallout for sourcing the information in the first place: https://twitter.com/mmofallout
This can all be read on here: https://steamcommunity.com/groups/Sentinels_of_the_Store/announcements/detail/2420069741595460959
They're opening the case back up for a second look.
Let's hope on a re-review that they're able to see what's going on with not just this game but with other games that are guilty of doing the same thing.
And then I reply and then they fail to understand and then they close the case. Really pigs me off.
As one review says it right here too. https://steamcommunity.com/id/mommajoe/recommended/344040/
Like you said, it sets a negative precedent as to how much the early access label can be thrown around to redeem anti-consumer behaviour.
I don't think the rep truly understands the weight of what has happened here, seemingly believing the description of "completely changed" has been over-bloated when as shown by the screenshots in the post, it really isn't, it literally is a completely different game and users on Twitter and in the Discord have kindly sent me in many more examples of this same thing happening and it being ignored.
Think this will be a topic that will be revisited in the future seeing as how Valve are still continuing to seemingly brush it under the rug and down-play it.
Hi there,
Thank you for contacting Steam.
I had a look at your account. The game Aiball is still activated on the account.
It seems like the producer of the game changed the name, like you mentioned, to Penguins Cretins. I have no information available to me to what the decision behind the name change is. Please keep in mind that the game is listed as an Early Access game. That means that the name and the content of the game are not a finished product and are subject to change at any given time without notice.
If you have any further questions about the game I'd recommend you contact the publisher of the game directly.
You can reach Penguins Cretins support by using the information from the Official Support section here.
Kind Regards
Steam Support
Rudy
I checked there's no "Beta" option, or previous version available, and the developer option is password locked. So the previous game was taken entirely from the end user.
