Not really any earth shaking news, but some very positive comments that made me feel good about progress and direction of the game. Just to make sure you have to read the article, I'm gonna quote Brian out of context saying "Fargo likens (Wasteland 2) to Star Trek..."

You know you have to see what he meant! :D

WIP Screenshot Poll

Stop by the Survival Guide forum to vote in the new poll based on the recent WIP screenshot of Wasteland 2. Brian wants to know your preference on color saturation. It's worth looking again if only for the high res versions linked to the poll.

Know Your Rights: AT&T Mobility v. Concepcion, and Steam's Subscriber Agreement

Admin Glamdring here making his first announcement, and I'm afraid it's not good news.
Steam has decided to follow in the footsteps of many software companies and distributors in applying to its Subscriber Agreement the language permitted to AT&T Mobility by the Supreme Court decision AT&T Mobility v. Concepcion. While few of us have need to sue EA or Valve, nor for that matter have we been so wronged as a collective that a class-action suit seems likely, these are important rights which should not be lost lightly to anyone.
I have some hard decisions to make. Wasteland 2 will not be subject to this problem, as it will be distributed in a manner which allows more freedom to its designers to avoid such EULAs, Privacy Policies (I'm looking at you, Origin), Subscriber Agreements and the like containing this language. Brian Fargo went out of his way to assure us that even with the inclusion of Wasteland 1 we would not need to worry about this from EA.
Nevertheless, if I find I am no longer in good conscience able to use Steam's services or to support Valve's products, I will consider it a real blow.
Do as you please, friends and fellow fans of Wasteland. I don't expect some mass exodus from Steam, but I thought y'all should know your rights, and what's being lost. The requirement that all disputes not related to software piracy or other copyright infringement be handled exclusively through mandatory binding arbitration is a very serious and, frankly, fairly horrible contract to be asked to sign. I'm not sure I could recommend it.

Along with a bit of other news in the latest kickstarter update (as well as FB, etc) Brian has released this wip screenshot of Wasteland 2 gameplay. Do keep in mind that it still lacks post processing and particle effects, but it's cool to see the thing develop!

Also note that he says that this angle represents the lowest angle, and a much steeper view is possible for those that prefer a greater "top down" experience.
