Briggs server being merged into SolTech

For those who haven't seen the announcement from DayBreak, all characters from the Briggs server will shortly be merged into SolTech. There will be a short window of time where characters can then be transferred to Connery if players wish to do so.

Hey Folks. Been a while since anyones posted in here.

Thought id make a quick post about our new ARMA ops.

We currently run a wide range of ARMA ops including themed ops (starting with Warhammer 40k with future options for Halo, Vietnam and various other mods), alongside PVP/games nights mixed in with traditional modern military ops.

We try to keep things causal and as chill as possible, before the fighting starts. We welcome players of all skill levels, and ARMA/40k experience. We are also looking to fill several specialised roles such as Pilots, Tank Crews, and Command Leadership roles. If you feel you have the required skills, just let us know.

Operations generally run at 20:30 (8:30pm) AEST. Multiple times a week.

The latest concept sale is on now for Star Citizen - the Tumbril corporations Cyclone ground vehicle.

5 different modules including cargo, recon and AA currently on sale. This looks like something that'll be really interesting for us to have.

Bacon may well switch out his Nox for one of these but that'll be pending the Q+A thread later this week.

Star Citizen 2.6 Now Live!

As the titles says. 2.6 is now on the live servers for everyone.

I've been in PTU for this and it's a great patch. The Caterpillar, X85, Herald and variants for the Hornet, Gladius, Vanguard Hoplite and Sabre are all in, new ICC missions, rework of the Yela asteroid belt, new use prompts are all in along with some extra fine goodies:

Completely reworked UI - it's now much more user firendly and looks way cooler

Pirate swarm mode: Like Vanduul swarm but vs human ships

New Grim Hex Bar: See if you can find the pirate base at Yela and check it out

Faster load times: Don't wait as long as you used to!

New flight model: Cruise mode no longer exists, you'll need to use your afterburners to 'boost' up to cruise speed at the expense of fuel. Standard SCM speeds have also been halved across the board to keep combat a little slower and more tight in

And the HUGE one:

Star Marine has finally dropped! Not sure how it's going to behave on live, but in PTU at least while amazingly fun it's extremely laggy. It'll be worth setting up a local game to see if that helps vs US/EU players.

TeamSpeak Server Address Update

The team speak servers have migrated data centres. I've just also discovered the IP address has changed.

They prefer people to use the hostname instead of the ip address but below are the details.

Star Citizen anniversary sale

SC is having its annual anniversary sale right now with allotments of Javelin destroyers and more Idris corvettes on sale.

Day to day, there'll be different ships on sale but ongoing for the week is the new Esperia Prowler which is a stealth APC/boarding ship.

There has also been a minor change to how sales work so CIG can maintain cash flow: There are 2 versions of each ship on sale, a 'regular' and a 'war bond' ship. War bonds are cheaper but can only have new cash used to buy them, the regular versions are slightly more expensive but can have store credit applied
