OCB is Back: A New Chapter Begins with Battlefield

Hello OCB Members,

The time has come for a fresh start. The new Battlefield is on the horizon, and it looks to be the kind of game that can bring us all back together for the epic team-based action we were known for.

I want to be upfront. The price tag for the game is significant, and I hesitated myself. However, I’ve made the investment because I see this as more than just a new title; I see it as an opportunity for us to rebuild and rally as a community. This is our chance for a comeback.

This new chapter also marks an evolution in our identity. For a long time, things have been quiet, and we need to adapt. The old, rigid idea of a "clan" doesn't feel relevant anymore. Moving forward, we are embracing a new identity as a Group of Gamers.

Our New Direction

Our relaunch is built on a simple, relaxed philosophy:

No Pressure, Just Games: The focus is on having fun. There are no mandatory events or pressure to be a "clan member." Just show up and play.

The Only Rule is Respect: That’s it. We are a mature community. All we ask is that you treat your fellow members with respect.

A Social Club Vibe: We want to bring back the camaraderie beyond the game. Expect more movie nights, sports events, and festive fun planned for the future.

An Open Amnesty

Over the years, people come and go, and sometimes fallings-out happen. We want to wipe the slate clean. If you are a former member who left for any reason, consider this an open invitation to return. The door is wide open, with no judgment and no questions asked. This is a second chance for all of us.

While we will post major updates here on Steam, the day-to-day activity, squad organization for Battlefield, and all social events will happen on our Discord server. It is our main headquarters.

Clan Achievements starts on the 1st September

We are now offering exclusive awards to clan members who achieve great things in-game! To be eligible, you must be wearing your clan tags in Steam and be an active member of the clan.

How to earn rewards

Get a chicken dinner in PUBG with some level of difficulty: This could mean winning a game with only a pistol, or winning a game with a squad of randoms.
Provide some live gaming action on Discord: This could mean streaming your gameplay, or hosting a tournament.
Excel at any game: If you are really good at a particular game, let us know! We will be awarding games to members who excel at any game.
Simply be on Discord regular and game : We want to reward our active members, so even if you're not doing anything special, you can still be eligible for a prize! just speak to me.
How to claim your rewards

To claim your rewards, simply post a screenshot of your achievement in the Discord channel ⁠chat. Please include the following information in your post:

Your Discord username if your using a smurf
The date and time of your achievement
A brief description of your achievement
We will review your submission and award you a game from a stack of relatively new games. The games we award will be randomly picked from the stack in order of recent to old. If we deem your achievement to be extra special, we may even award you some Steam cash!

Limits

Each person can only receive one game per week.
We reserve the right to disqualify any submissions that we deem to be ineligible.
We hope to see you on Discord!

Teamspeak Closure

Dear OCB Community,

I am writing to inform you that we will be closing down the OCB Teamspeak server. This decision was not made lightly, but after careful consideration, we believe that it is the best course of action for our community.

The OCB Teamspeak server has been in operation since August 2014. During that time, it has served as a valuable resource for our community, providing a place for members to chat, game, and connect with each other. However, in recent months, the server has seen a significant decline in activity. Over the past two weekends, the average number of users on the server has been two.

Given the low level of activity, we no longer believe that it is worth the time and resources to keep the OCB Teamspeak server running. We also believe that the community would be better served by moving to a more popular voice platform, such as Discord. Discord is free, easy to use, and has a large and active user base.

We know that some members of the community will be disappointed by this decision. However, we believe that it is the best decision for the long-term health of our community. We encourage all members to join the OCB Discord server, where they can continue to chat, game, and connect with each other.

The OCB Teamspeak server will be closed down on Sunday 23. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.
We also will be closing down website and payment to the 3 domain names we have.Along with that our Linode virtual server will be closing also.

Hi Guys ,
No Xmas party this year,
I will be on most nights and will have a drink and game if you want to come on. Also, shatter-line is appears to be a good alternative to dirty bomb please check it out.
The reasoning around no party lack of donations hectic personal stuff going on, I just cannot deliver a proper good party. Next year is going to be challenging. i will be letting go of our costly outgoings and our TeamSpeak server will most likely go. sorry for the negative news but the times are changing.Thanks to the few that have donated.

Donation Time.
Hi, It's that time again when I ask for help to pay the year's bills, etc and ask for donations. Not been a great year personally for me with health and family, work issues. However, the show must go on. So the door is open for raising funds, please only donate if you can afford to hardship times in the UK.
On the game front, Shatterline looks promising as a significant title it's in alpha at the moment it has an old-school dirty bomb vibe.
in February we may need to move to discord as Teamspeak has advised us to move on to the new support model which is costly.
Teamspeak however not the best closing things we need to be ready in case it happens.
Not sure if we will have a Xmas party this year, however, may have something just as an excuse to have a drink.

shatterline(on Steam) is a new game that is free to play . a lot of Dirty bomb players are moving onto this. With talk that DB possibly finishing this is could be the next big game to play.seems to be the consensus of most teh remaining fps players in OCB.
