This was taken from the Quake Champions Steam page. It's a poll asking which game modes people would like to see in the new Quake Champions game. I don't know how much it will influence the game developers but it sure can't hurt. Let's go support Freeze Tag and any other game mode you would like to see. Thanks.

Quake Champions Freeze Tag

From Quake Champions...

"We won’t release a champion in the middle of a season. We’re not going to do champion tweaks when there’s a competition going on. But, yes, we want to get into a cadence so we can keep delivering new content.”
“But the Quake franchise has always been a community event type of thing. So we do want to give people the opportunity to run their own tournaments. If you have a league, and you have a whole bunch of people in it, and you want to introduce this game, we’ll work together.”

So hopefully they will have FT and if we have a tournament we should probably plan on making in congruent with whatever "competition" they have going on. Anyone know how to get a hold of them and tell them freeze tag is an important part of current quake? If you guys have some contact info I'll volunteer to be the voice for freeze tag.

Championship Match

Lint makes a good point about Fathers Day, nobody should miss Father's day due to Quake. Unless there is an actual agreement between the two teams this will be the final schedule.

Thursday June 23rd at 7PM, 2 games
Sunday June 26th at 5:30PM, 2 games
Friday July 1st at 7PM, final game if needed

Championship Match UFT vs Pill

The two teams have had a slight issue scheduling this last match on a day that works out well for both of them so this is what we've decided to do.

The first 2 games will be played on Thursday June 16 @ 7pm central. This is the most convenient day for UFT.

The second 2 games will be played on Sunday June 19 @ 5:30 pm central. This is the most convenient day for Pill. The earlier start time is to avoid conflict with iCTF.

UFT was offering Mon-Thurs, Pill was offering Sat and Sun. So the tie breaker game, if needed, will be Friday June 24 @ 7 pm central. Since there were no overlap days and this is the only day not selected by either team, it is unfortunately the most fair way to have a tie breaker game.

*If both teams agree, they can play all 5 games on Friday June 17 @ 7pm central as long as 24 hours notice is given ahead of Thursday's first game.
*If both teams agree they can change to a more convenient start time as long as 24 hours notice is given before the start of each match and it wont conflict with iCTF streams.
*If both teams can agree on an alternate schedule this can be changed as long as notice is given 24 hours in advance of Thursday's first game.

Games 1 & 2 Thursday June 16, 7 pm central
Games 3 & 4 Sunday June 19, 5:30 pm central
Game 5 Friday June 24, 7 pm central

Congratulations so the top finishing teams of the regular season! I'm sorry I forgot to make an announcement earlier. The regular season finished up about a couple weeks ago and I forgot to congratulate the winners.

Congratulations on a great regular season and good luck to all in the playoffs.

I made an announcement earlier this week about semifinal match ups. I had forgotten the loser between DIK and Pill still needs to take on the winner between DNA and UFT so even with only 4 teams left the loser's bracket semifinals is not set just yet. However the winner between DIK and Pill will move onto the final round where it will be a best of 5 winner take all match.
