Servers Closing

It is with sadness that I announce that the Scorched Earth, Aberration, and Ragnarok servers will be closing shortly. The main island server will continue on but with reduced player slots.

The server population has seen a massive decline since Christmas, and the 3 servers that are closing have been dead for quite a while. Apologies to anyone for whom this may be a problem. Please do not directly message me about this, it has been a difficult decision to make.

Tribe Wipes

Hello there folks. Two longterm players on the server have approached us about being 'Admin Wiped' when they leave the server.

Usually we don't intefere with gameplay, and I personally believe bases should be open to salvaging and raiding. But we are making an exception here as the players in question have (very) large bases, a large number of dinos - and freeing up this space on the server is welcome.

As such those bases and dinos will be removed in the coming days.

It will be a shame to say goodbye to those players - but this will hopefully open up a lot of space for new survivors.

Note: If you are a large tribe and don't like the idea of your base slowly decaying away or your dinos starving to death unattended, contact us here and we can arrange a similar service.

Turret Changes 5th December

Hello there, just to let you know that the changes Wildcard are making to the way turrets work on official servers won't be implemented here. We believe turrets are integral to base defence and that changing the rules at this point in time is incredibly unfair. Especially to anyone who has put the time into defending their base from attack. We have already made the necessary changes to the .ini files to ensure the turret restrictions are cancelled out... but if anyone spots any issues with this please let us know as soon as possible and we will look into it again.

Quick reminder that building in caves is fine so long as it's something that helps other players acquire the artifacts (bridges etc, are fine). You may build turrets (set to 'wild dino only') in the swamp cave, but please refrain from doing so in caves where people may want to tame. We want people to be able to do the bosses and the caves are obviously rather important for that :)

Achievements

Looks like the achievements for Ark have been updated - I got an achievement just for getting on a quetzal :D It's been ages since they defined the achievements and a lot has changed in the game - interesting to see what they are now.

Server is currently down for maintenance...
