Creative freedom is a right.

Take Two has filed a cease and desist against modding software OpenIV. OpenIV has been around for 10 years and Take Two thought that they were violating their rights.

On top of OpenIV, another mod project that was going to port the entire Red Dead Redemption map onto the GTAV engine also got a cease and desist by Take Two lawyers.

While Take Two has said in their terms of use that "Modifying Files" is considered illegal, Rockstar on numerous occasions have said they don't mind mods as long as it doesn't affect the online components of their games. (Which makes sense.)

This group was made as a response to censoring community made content. Those who want to be a part of the boycott should try and not buy any games published by Take Two, and yes that does include Grand Theft Auto and the new Red Dead. People have the right to be creative and I'm pretty sure I can speak for anyone that mods make games better.
