Alrighty, everyone, nobody responded to my original inquiry regarding a civilization game so I'm not sure about interest or how well we can pre-plan this thing, but if you're interested in having a Civilization game, comment below with times, game preferences, etc.

We will not be allowing people to double up on civs, so if you intend to play and want to reserve a civilization (all are available) include that in your comment.

Civilization VI has been released, but it looks like few people have the game at the moment so this civ game will be the Civ V Complete Edition. If you don't have it, I highly recommend getting it over the course of the holiday sale.

If you want to join a Civilization VI game, there will be one on Thursday, December 29, at 7:00pm ET.

Happy Holidays, ya'll!
With the Steam Holiday Sale in full swing and Winter Break in effect, I was thinking we should attempt to have a Civilization game. For the sake of progressing in this one, I'm looking to start at about mid-day (noon?). Sorry if that disagrees with your Winter Break sleep schedule.

Anyway, if you have preferences for Civ V (Gods & Kings + Brave New World) or the shiny new Civ IV, as well as any preferences for dates + times, hit me up in the comments or private messages. Ya'll got me on your friends list.

In order to make the civ game work for concerned parties, I propose that the game take place on Thursday from 12pm - 5pm. If this doesn't work for you, as it is moving up the date of the game, please tell me and we can postpone to Friday.

This game is on its last legs, so please get back to me ASAP. Consult other players you know may be interested or you don't believe are subscribed to group notifications in order to lock down as many players as possible.

If a game cannot be organized before Sunday, I'm going to hold a game on Monday at noon regardless of the numbers of players available.

Civ V Game Postponed

Due to certain idiots not taking my repeated advice to subscribe to this group's discussion board, certain idiots cannot attend the game and we will not have enough people for a 4+ person game. Though said idiots will likely not see this announcement, subscribe to the damn discussion board! I applaud those who have kept up with the news and cleared their schedules accordingly.
Due to the last minute cancellation, we will now be holding the game on the follow-up date (Thursday 8pm - 12am). A new follow-up will have to be chosen, so this is your opportunity to give any feedback on the new date and a possible follow-up.
Sorry to disappoint those of you who have been keeping up with announcements or at the very least have managed to clear their very busy schedules at the last minute.

Unturned Server

Due to incredible frustration with my router and the fact that Verizon's services are too secure for me to port forward, I have not and will not be establishing an internet server for Unturned as anticipated. If anyone would like to consult me about my failure to comprehend technology, I am more than happy to block them and remove them from the group.

If you feel that you are more capable of port-forwarding and establishing an internet server, you are encouraged to do so. Post your server info in the "Discussions" tab of the Steam group and I will make an announcement for it as well. You'll likely be promoted and made "Player of the Week" as well (yes, that is a real thing).

So that was just an update letting you know that after several hours of attempting to establish the server, I have failed. The server itself is incredibly simple and easy to set-up, but port forwarding is a complicated bitch whose art is clearly lost on me and the vast majority of the internet.

New Civ 5 Game!

The game is scheduled for Tuesday at 9pm and will continue until 12 am. (3 hours) A follow-up session will occur on Thursday at the same time.

If you choose to play the first day and cannot make it the second day, your civ will be assumed by an AI.

Civ 5 Game Date

Since very few of you guys actually told me what times work for you, I'm acting solely on what I remember people told me outside of Steam and through Steam. The date is currently set for Thursday, April 2, 2015. The game will start at 7:00 pm. I reccomend you eat dinner and do any chores or other assignments beforehand. There will likely be a follow-up game later in the week.

A poll will be created for settings and linked in a separate announcement.

Civ V Deadline!

If you plan to be a part of the Civ 5 game over spring break, you must post times that work for you on either this announcement or the previous one. If you don't reply, your needs will not be considered in the planning of the game. Even if you have told me through some means other than Steam that you will be participating, you MUST post favorable times on the Steam group.

The deadline for this is Friday at midnight. That is when I will finalize the planning and launch the poll for settings.
